Pre-Trip Think the undoable and do the unthinkable

I have some great news! Last November we decided not to go back to WDW in October 2015. The flights from Amsterdam to Orlando were much more expensive so we decided to postpone it to 2016. Maybe some short trips to DLP and a summer vacation in Southern Europe was what we wanted to do!

But when we got married in 2010 we said that in the year we are married 5 years we go to Florida!

Then we try to find a decent summer vacation and well.... when we compared it to the prices we have to pay for a WDW trip in October..... :)

So we thought, what the heck! Let's do it! And do it even better than last October! Let's go into a Disney hotel! And we are married 5 years by the time we are in WDW!

So guess what, we booked our trip for October 2015! WDW here we come again! We booked a room in the All Star Movie Resort from October 16th until October 24th :)

Update 02-02-2015: When we booked the trip we tried to book a room in the Port Orleans French Quater, but it was all fully booked. But last Friday I found out that the resort was open for bookings again. So I called the travel agency and guess what?? We upgraded to Port Orleans!!!!!!!

Update 24-06-2015: Guess what :) We booked another WDW trip! October 2016 will be the second future visit!! And with a lot of advantages :) 200$ gift card, free Memory Maker, Ultimate tickets for 14 days for the price of 7 and a free dining plan! And this time we are staying at Port Orleans River Side!!

Me, my wife Ria and our daugther Sacha (last time we went with a group of 7, now just our family)

We are really thrilled we are coming back to WDW! The feeling is very good but is getting better by the day!

The setlist was great! As you mentioned we got Volcano! As a European tour debut. But did you see the setlist from yesterday night! That was a really special one! They got Magnificant, Sweetest Thing, Bad and 40!! U2 also brought a salut to 'Prince Friso', one son of the former Dutch Queen. A friend of Bono (he was also in the church in my hometown with the family and friends that tome). So U2 threated the audience well for the last show in Amsterdam. Now it is counting down to the start of the sale for Dublin, November 28th. Let's see if I can present Sacha a great pre-Christmas present with a short Dublin trip. She really caught the U2 virus, yesterday she was listening to a live stream of the Amsterdam show and soinging out loud in her room :)

And off course not to forget, just 32 night to go before touchdown in Orlando :)

So back to WDW business :) Today we hit the remarkable 30 days left! Just one month to go! By this time of day (13.29) we are 4,5 hours in the air on our way to Orlando :) Take off will be 08.55 local time. Until then... reading and wathcing PTR's and TR's to help us pump up the Disney vibe!

The time before your trip will now probably fly by with only 30 days to go! It's almost time to start packing.

Ohw yeah time will fly by! Only a week left before choosing seats for the flight :) Friends of ours are on the same flight but they don'w know we are going :) The looks on their face will be unforgettable. And next saturday we have a birthday there so it will be harsh to tell nothing :)

here I am again :) Sorry but it's quite a busy time here... not much time for the WDW forum :) Work is busy and I have a new job inside my existing job. We have connections with an American firm and since last week I am appointed as Treasurer of the American firm. They are seated in Maryland, Washington DC. So in the future there will be more flights to USA, only not for fun, but for work!

Back to WDW. The clock is ticking in the right way! As of today just 12 days of work and 18 days left for departing Amsterdam! Seats for the flight are booked! So the only thing left is packing our stuff. And we bought a GoPro. So test it in the next xouple of days!

Actually looked into Nov 28 in Dublin since its the Thanksgiving break here in the states. The airfare and hotel to Europe is so much cheaper in November!!!!!! Just couldnt do it though and not be there with the kids since none of us have been there before. Have to hope for U2 in the states (and maybe Europe) in 2016. If we make the trip during summer, Ill be sure to let you know.

In addition to this trip to WDW in October, am I remembering correctly that you are already booked for 2016 as well?

I was trying to buy tickets for the Nov 28 show. But the system crashed and then it was sold out before I knew it. I even had booked us a hotel. Since I am a fanclub member I was able to buy 2 tickets in an earlier time period, but I use that right for one of the Amsterdam shows. Now Ria and Sacha are also a fanclub member, they each have the same right now. So for the next leg of the tour (of it comes, but rumours are strong) I will we be able to but tickets in an earlier time frame. Off course I will let you know it it all works out the way I want to.... I guess we hope for Dublin or Barcelona.

You are completely right. We will be in WDW in 16 days and after that in October 2016 we will be back!
