ORLANDO - Walt Disney World CEO Michael Eisner announced today that Disney will soon be adding yet another new ride to its Theme Parks.
"We want to stay ahead of the competition." said Eisner at a recent press conference. He then coughed a word which sounded like Universal.
And so, on the heels of Mission: Space, Mickey's Philharmagic, and the highly popular Stitch's Great Escape, Eisner announced the attraction entitled The Michael Eisner Story.
The ride, which will replace the Carousel of Progress in the Magic Kingdom, is slated to open in late 2005 along with Soarin' over California at Epcot and the Motor Stunt Show at Disney MGM Studios.
"There is a great deal of excitment among guests." added Eisner. "Just last week, five people were gathered along the construction wall of The Michael Eisner Story and asking a nearby Cast Member questions." It was later discovered they were actually asking for directions to the nearest restroom.
While Disney has yet to release full details of the ride, guests can expect to witness important events in Eisner's history from his first days as CEO to his termination in November 2004. One scene, entitled "Disastrous Decisions", includes such moments as Eisner's announcements of such films as Treasure Planet. In the final climactic scene guests will plummit 85 feet alongside Eisner's popularity.
"This is going to be the best ride ever." said one guest, who asked to remain anonymous. "I'm willing to bet it will top the pre-show for Honey I Shrunk the Audience."
