Okay, daughter's birthday party - DONE. So it's time to think about the cruise - we leave in 12 days!!! :sohappy:

What 'special' cruise things should I pack? What are things that are especially helpful when on a Disney cruise with a large group (19 people?)

I know I've seen where people had dry erase boards on their doors (a Tammy pic maybe?) is that something everyone has on a Disney cruise or do you bring your own? I think it would be helpful to leave a note (I know we have the phones, but just in case.) Bottled water? I think we're planning to bring that.

Any other things?

Yes, a Tammy pic!! We use our dry erase board, we brought our own, all the time. Especially with large groups!

We usually leave a note of where we are in case anyone wants to find us. This time we left notes saying 12:00 lunch at Tritons, things like that. Then anyone who wanted to could meet us there.

The Wave phones are great to find a couple of people, the dry erase boards are good for mass contact.:)

Here's a few more:

We always bring a plastic over the door shoe hanger to hang on the outside of the bathroom door. We don't keep shoes in it, just little things like lanyards, chapstick, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc. It makes everything easier to find. For us and the kids!

A sound machine, or smart phone with that app is always a good idea.

$1 bills for room service.

A collapsible laundry hamper.

Highlighters to highlight the things you want to do on the Navigator.

Hard photo mailer, scrapbooking case, or something similar to keep photos you purchase safe.

A dry erase board was actually part of the Castaway Club gift one year. It's definitely nice to have.

That'a a fantastic idea!! I'm definitely stealing this one!

What!? We didn't get a dry erase board! That's cool if it's part of the gift now!

And yes, we use that shoe hanger to death!! It's so handy!

Awesome! Thank you so much Tammy! I guess this goes without saying, but just in case - a Magnetic dry erase board right?

Your own inflatable life raft :lookaroun

Don't joke! :) I've never cruised before and I keep kidding everyone that my kids & I are going to look soooo funny walking around in our life vests the whole time. Might make it a little hard to eat.

Seriously though, I know we'll be fine, but darn that Titanic movie and it's presence in my teenage years. Totally freaks me out. :D

There's not that many iceburgs off the southern US of A nowadays - you'll be fine :)

Me, I never found the need for the shoe hanger idea, but I know people swear by them.

A bedside clock, your watch if it lights up, or your cell phone (in AIRLINE mode).

HIghlighters are a great idea, as is the photo carrier or somthing along those lines. Two pieces of stiff carboard in a legal sized (8x14) envenlope will work just fine as well.

Dollar bills are very very very handy.

Two bathing suits per person - nothing dries in those cabins :)

Some sort of bag you can take to the beach for when you are at Castaway Cay

Extra memory cards / batteries / etc. They have a photo shop on the ship, but it has a limited selection of supplies, and it is big bucks. If something happens to your camera, you are pretty much without it. (Been there done that)

Collapsable hamper is a good idea if you are going to wash clothes on the ship. Otherwise a couple of trash bags is my item of choice (because you can pack your dirty clothes in them and avoid "cross contamination")
