Things that make you cry

Walking into the Polynesian and not seeing the cool volcano/waterfall in the center of the lobby anymore.

Boy I do miss the waterfall too, it was so tropical and had that smell. I never missed stopping in for a drink every visit. Now that little tiki God and a trickle of water makes us sad.

Yes, oddly enough, as you said, the smell was a big part of it. Like you arrive for check-in and you know you're on vacation. I've only seen pictures of the lobby now, but it seems kind of boring now compared to what it was. But even so, I can't fully hate on the Polynesian (except those new buildings on the lake, they just kill the view in some spots), there's nothing like sitting on the second floor of the lobby overlooking the grounds (or on the balcony of a room) when it's pouring rain outside, it really creates a nice, tropical feel.

In the Parks
Yes
There are three Disney songs that will always make me well up (a very rare event for me, I never cry).
1. Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid
2. A Whole New World from Aladdin
3. Circle of Life from The Lion King

In the parks, the only thing that comes close is seeing Casey Jr. at the beginning of the MSEP.

I may be in the minority, but certain things at Disney just make me burst out in tears. My emotions are on a full on roller coaster in the world, and my happiness always gets the best of me! What are some things that make you cry, or am I alone in this insanity?

1. Big Blue World song from Finding Nemo Musical in AK
2. Lion King- ahhhhhhhh saaaaaa vennnnnnnnna kali lee si mi nooooooo
3. Seeing the castle
4. Wishes Peter Pan part when they say "I wish we'd never have to grow up, off to neverland!"
5. The magical express tag on my door to take me home!

What are yours??

When a stroller runs over my foot?

Theres something about seeing characters with young children that make me tear up in a good way. Am I the only person who gets that feeling? Mainly from videos and photos.

Getting in the bus or car when leaving Epcot, bc we always go there our last day since it's our favorite park. We have family in Tampa and we live in texas, WDW is a great meeting ground for us when we go and spend a couple days with them. Seems we always do MK then go to epcot for a ride or 2 and a beer or 2. We walk back and say good bye at the monorail, which brings years.

My daughter is 5 now, but we've taken her to WDW since she turned one. Since we are saving up to take the Wonder to Alaska next year, we aren't taking our yearly trip. To relive the memories, we have been spending a lot of time as a family looking at our trip pics from years past. I don't openly cry all that often, but remembering her first trip made me all choked up. I have pictures of her on the steamboat holding herself up on the slats of the railing just amazed at the water and the boat, video of her squealing in Small World, and of her kissing Minnie on the nose. Melts my heart a little :)
