Things people complain about at WDW, but don't bother you at all

This is the evil twin to the "things people love" thread. Bwahahhaaaa!

Here are some of mine:

WDW Transportation, including Magical Express: I haven't ever had to wait very long for a bus, magical express is always timely, and I love the videos they play on the way out and back to the resorts.

Stitch: My kids love him, and I think he's just fine in the parks. Don't even mind Stitch's Great Escape--it's a tossup between that and Alien Encounter, I'm not a huge fan of either, though.

San Angel Inn: Always had great mexican food, here. Yum. Best atmosphere in all of WDW, if you ask me.

Animal Kingdom in general: "Half day park" "oh, woe is Beastlie Kingdomme", "glorified zoo". How about most beatuiful, well-themed place to walk around in on the entire property? Great place to spend a day, Dinoland notwithstanding--now I can get behind the complaining, there, even if the theming is rich, it's just not a nice place to be.

Well, just from recent threads, I get...

Tiki Room Under New Management

People exiting Maelstrom by walking in front of those watching the movie.

Waiting for 5 minutes to see the Maelstrom movie

Sounds from teh Maelstrom movie being audible in the Maelstrom line

The Disney Dining Plan

Fairies at Epcot

Wow to be honest all of the things I was going to say, you already said. I guess it is true that great minds think alike haha. Anyway yeah I love Stitch, in fact he is my favorite character. San Angel Inn is just truly an amazing setting right on the water and dim lightning it makes a great end to a great day. The transportation is always perfect, whenever I go I think something might happened because of all the negativity on here, but nothing bad has ever happened. So yeah I agree with everything that you posted, and I will add one more Mission: Space, it is one of my favorite rides because it is different and the intensity doesn't bother me at all. :D

Considering people here complain about 90% of the things at WDW it's probably a better question to ask me what actually DOES bother me, it'd be a much shorter list

Busses- Consider yourself lucky you never had to wait long for a bus, you are probably the exception, Busses in my experience just continue to get worst. We were there last month and it took us over an hour and 20 minutes to get from the mk to the boardwalk, at 6pm . It should never take that long to get from a park to your hotel.

Stitch- eh he doesnt really bother me that much either, what I think bugs people most about him is that he replaced a truly groundbreaking ride that closed prematurely.

San angel inn - Never tried it, definitly will on my next trip though.

AK - The average tourist probably wont realize its a half day park, only half day because compared to the other parks it always closes the earliest. Its mostly us fanboy's that consider it a half day park because we're usually at the parks alot, and theres only so many times you want to stop and look at the flamingos and the little monkeys. There are only like 4 or 5 things (everest, dino, kali, safari, and nemo/lion king) that have re-ridability. For me personally its less than a half day park. The only reasons I go there is for everest and dino, maybe kali, and then I'm out.

I agree with you on both of these. Love the atmosphere of the SAI. We haven't eaten there yet, but we plan to next trip to see how it stacks up against all of the other Mexican food we eat. (We're from Texas, so we eat a lot!)

As for AK, I've said it elsewhere on here and I'll say it again: AK is my second favorite park and I believe a lot of closed mindedness leads to everyone hating on it. You're spot on about the atmosphere and themeing. The rides are fantastic and it's really nice and easy to get around with all the wide paths and wide variety of ways to get to different places around the park. For us, it's always a fun and wonderful experience.

Character meet n greets-I might not care for them but 95% of the guests that come to WDW demand them. FSM forbid a company gives it's customers what they want.

The Speedway-So what if you can ride go carts anywhere? That 5 year old can't and he/she is having the time of their life and driving for the first time in their life. Too loud? It is a race car, it is supposed to be loud!

AK-Only a half day park? Sure if you must be spoon fed entertainment in the form of rides. I could easily spend a full day just on the 2 trails.

Dumbo, Flying Carpets, etc-Sure they are simple carnival rides but you know what so are the tea cups and the carousel and most people would have a kaniption fit if those were gone. Suck it up because people love them especially kids...you know those little people that are Disney's bread and butter. The kids laughing on Dumbo are tomorrows coaster enthusiasts.

Dinorama-Just because you don't get it and it is simple does not mean that it is bad.

The Seas with Nemo-Face it guys and gals, the little clown fish saved that pavilion.

M:S-This is a great thrill ride. Sure the post show could have been better but this is the best space flight simulator around.

Horizions- I loved this attraction but lets face some facts. It was outdated and Disney nor any one else was ever going to pony up the endless stream of cash it would have taken to keep it current. Attractions about the future technology are doomed to fail if they cost too much to change. The place was an absolute ghost town just a few years after it opened.

Yoda you beat me to the Speedway! I love that ride. Bring on the fumes and loud noise. I LOVE IT!! One of my favorite Disney memories as a grown up bringing my kids is riding with my then 4 year old son who refused to turn the wheel AT ALL. People were passing us, pointing and laughing, and it was just amazing. He was so unbelievably proud of himself to be "driving". Long live the modified lawnmowers.

Yup, not sure how anyone could prefer the ghost-town it was before Nemo moved in.

And most of your points boil down to one simple thing, people cannot STAND something that isn't aimed at them or they can't get enjoyment out of. M&Gs? Kid's rides? Duffy??? God forbid Disney appeal to anyone but middle aged fanboys. It's very 'if I can't enjoy it, no one can!'

Ok, I gotta admit. Duffy annoys the he** out of me. I just can't convince myself that he's anything other than a marketing ploy pure and simple.

But otherwise, I'm with you.

Most things in the parks are marketing ploys, Disney is in business to make money. Point is he's not being aimed at adults yet they're the ones having hissy fits over him. Let kids enjoy him, and if kids don't enjoy him Duffy won't last long in the parks.

I enjoy...

Fantasmic! - my favorite show on property. Yes, Disneylands Dragon "Murphy" is incredible but I still love the show, the music, all of it!
Disney bus system - love the "bus" smell, love not having to drive anywhere
Turkey legs - good eatin'! cheap meal when split between 2 people!
Mission:Space - fun, unique ride.
The Seas w/Nemo and Friends - gave some life to the pavilion and made it more popular w/kids
Hollywood Studios - many say this would be their one park to go or see it as a half day park...I love it! TSMM and Rock n Rollercoaster alone but add Fantasmic, Voyage of Little Mermaid, Muppets 3D, Star Tours, Great Movie ride...I love it all! Plus Starring Rolls is one of my favorite snack spots!
Disney food - some of my favorite meals. It's one of the things I look forward to the most. TS, CS or snacks...love 'em all

My list has some things people complain about on here too that don't really bother me as well as attractions in the parks.

The Speedway - Every kid wants to drive a car. I remember being 8 and finally being able to drive by myself on the speedway and I was so happy. Still enjoy it even though I can drive a real car
Toontown- Okay I know its gone now but we really enjoyed going through the houses and meeting Mickey.
Monster's Inc Laugh Floor- LOVE IT! My 11 year old sister cracks up laughing every time.
The Seas with nemo and Friends- I personally love this attraction. The queuing line is fun to look at the the ride is really cute.
Animal Kingdom- HOW IS IT A HALF DAY PARK? Last trip we got there BEFORE OPENING for and Adr at Tusker and left at park close and we were non-stop the whole day....and thats without doing all the trails! The shows here are awesome. Everest, Safari, Dinosaur, Its tough to be a bug, Kali River Rapids are all must dos(well at least in my book ;) )
Value Resorts- Everyone says they are basically a Motel 8....Well The one Motel 8 I went to was falling apart. The rooms are a decent size and affordable. The CMs are still wonderful, the theming is great for kids and adults and really has you surrounded by Disney the entire time.
Refilling mugs from past trips- Okay I know this is a huge debate on here so I'm not trying to start another one but seriously these people don't bother me. My family is a family of 5...we buy 2-3 mugs each trip which is about $40. If all of us got a mug it would be around $65!! We bring mugs from past trips but always make sure to buy some new ones. We own over 12 mugs(a lot with the same designs). So Kill Me if I bring them back with me.

I love AK i could spend days there! I love looking at all the animals. I love EE! I don't see how anyone can class it as half a day park. It comes before Epcot for me.

I love AK, isn't the clue in the title, it's full of animals! I'm not a thrill ride person anyway. I enjoy watching the variety of Wildlife there, there are 3 other parks full of rides, this ones full of animals. Certainly more than a half day park.

I've never had any problems with WDW transportation, my DB and I always go in Sept so I know the crowds are minimal, the longest we waited was 20 minutes for a bus to Typhoon Lagoon. After spending 7 days a week in cold wet England waiting 20 minutes at 7am to get a bus to work, which is stressful and annoying, I'm not going to complain I had to wait 20 mins in lovely hot Florida to take me on a day of fun!

Nothing really bothers me at WDW, Its the most magical place on earth!!!
Just one thing annoyed me on our last trip last year. The Disney Dining plan!!! No, wasn't on it, but everyone else was! The food queues seemed to double since our last visit in 2008. Everyone had to ask lots of questions at the cash till. "Is this accepted in the dining plan?" "What is?"
"Can I substitute this for that?" Aaaahhhhh! :zipit:

Fastpass. I've never seen one convincing argument to why fastpass is bad. It's a great system.

I agree ... you love them when YOU have them and hate them when you don't. The fact Disney puts time constraints on how often you can pullone levels the playing field.

I also have no complaints about transportation or AK. I guess I am to busy enjoying myself to stop and ponder all the evil going on around me LOL:ROFLOL:

I really like the Hall Of Presidents. I know people joke about it being a great place to nap, but to me it is very interesting, and the speech by Abraham Lincoln is very inspiring.
I like the bus systems. I am surprised that so many people complaiin about them. I have never had to wait long for a bus. The longest I had to wait I would guess was about 10 maybe 13 minutes. But most of the time when you see a bus coming, there is another one right behind it.
I like COP too. I know it might be a little dated, but it is still a fun show to watch. Can't get that song out of my head...."It's a great big beautiful tomorrow!"
Speaking of a song you can't get out of your head....I also like It's a Small World. I think it is a cute boat ride that is very well done. It gives a good message about world peace and harmony too. All the kids from the different countries singing the same song together.
I like the Tomorrowland Transit Authority/ People Mover. To me it is a very relaxing ride. A nice break in the middle of the day.
Meeting the characters is awesome...one of my favorite places to eat is the Garden Grill. What makes it so great, besides the food, is Chip, Dale, Mickey, Pluto, and minnie. I am a grown man and I love it! It's awesome! Chip and Dale are a laugh riot!
I also like Universe Of Energy featuring Ellen. I think she is funny and it is an entertaining ride.
I like the Seas With Nemo And Friends....I am a huge Pixar fan, and Finding Nemo was a great movie!
The Dumbo ride?? It's awesome! Nothing makes me feel more like a kid then riding Dumbo! Fun!
Those are just a few of mine!

The majority of things that get flamed on here doesn't bother me one bit. Frustrates the living crap out of me mind you but doesn't actually bother me....never more so than the person who complained about the color of the new bathrooms during the Space Mountain refurb and how it didn't match!!!!! (even typing it made my bp go up) :brick:

The one attraction that gets the most heat by far is Stitch's Great Escape and I (and my kids) love it. Most of the attractions people complain about I actually like. When I go, I enjoy every last second regardless of if it's perfect cuz to me I'm in a different world and in my favorite place on earth. So the Yeti isn't working in "A" mode....so what. Would I like it to be? ...yes. But I am not going to lose sleep over it nor let it affect my trip.

I honestly can't think of anything that would prompt me to be angry (which many people seem to get on here).
