Things happen for a reason

I don't know if any of you remember, but I was pretty down about not getting to get back to Florida for a summer program.

I believe that all things happen for a reason.

So far this summer, I had to help out on our farm (planting would never have been finished), am going to summer school (I can graduate in the Spring).

This morning, my grandfather passed away. He had a major heart attack. It was his 3rd or 4th. He'd been in the hospital 2 or 3 times this year due to all his years of smoking. He was on oxygen part-time.

If anything happens in your life, don't sweat it. It probally happened for a reason, maybe it can't be seen yet.

I´m sorry about your grandpa... were you able to spend time with him these past days?

You did better without Disney this time, see? There will be other chances to go! :animwink:

I saw him the past two weekends.

He had been feeling pretty good, better than he had in a while. This was pretty unexpected.

I'm so sorry to hear about both of your losses.

Brent, "Everything happens for a reason" is one of my strongest beliefs. I'm glad you were able to be home and with your family.

That's true Brent...I strongly believe that. It isn't always what we want to happen, and it can be so depressing , but it usually is for a reason (that sometimes will show up later). I'm so sorry about your Grandpa, but I'm glad you were there at home to be with your family. I hope you're doing ok, I know it has to be hard.

Fieval, I'm sorry about your loss of your Great Aunt.

Sorry to hear it, guys. It's been a while since a loss in the family, but I try to keep in touch with everybody so what happened when my great-grandfather passed away (it had been a while since I last saw him) doesn't ever happen again.

Sorry to hear about both losses.

I just moved to Florida, and my great-uncle, who I was very close to, passed about 3 months after I moved. He had been in a nursing home for a year. I could not make it back for the funeral, but my grandparents live in Florida by me, and I was able to get them to the airport, help them pack, and take care of the house so they could go to the funeral. Without me here, they would never have been able to make the trip.

I feel for both of your losses.

Sincere condolences to both of you.... and yes things do happen for reasons that we cannot understand.... the memories do give us time for reflection and introspection about things.... to every purpose.......

*huggles Fievel and Brent* my thoughts are with you. My great uncle just passed away last week so I also understand how you guys feel. I'm glad I was here to help my grandma rather then in LA likeI would have been. He was her husband's son and the last of the boys of that family so it was a very emotional service...

I'm also in the mist of learning the everything happens for a reason lesson. Tough one though isn't it?

I know tthis thread is a couple years old, but my great aunt passed away recently, and I sympathize with Turkey and Fievel.

Mine did too. :( I'm sorry to hear that! It's like losing another grandma, really.
