Someone said that sometimes it's possible to get a table once you get there, but the wait times are crazy. Maybe we'll get lucky though? Not sure about that. Looking into Rainforest Cafe though. I've been there once and thought it was really good, any suggestions on that?

& We're flying on Delta and I was told that no food or drinks can be brought past security. Anything purchased AFTER that is fine, but prices in the airport are ridiculous so I wouldn't want to buy things then. The flat rate boxes aren't very expensive, but again, I'll have to look into it more.

you never know when someone cancels or something changes last minute, doesn't hurt to try!

Like someone said above, anything ya'll do will be romantic and fun at Disney. A fun place to go eat is the 50's prime time cafe. Not TOO exspensive and a fun atmosphere. Also, if you are having a hard time making dining reservations at TS Via Napoli (in Epcot, Italy pavilion) is an excellent choice for good italian food about @@$ per person. No reservations are required there and we got seated pretty quickly. You could also grab some corn dog nuggets and fries and watch wishes together. Make sure you watch Wishes together. It is really special. Another cool and romantic place to go to maybe on one of your r&r days is The Boardwalk. Great atmosphere, great food and not everything there needs a before hand dining reservation as well. Along with Wishes, make sure that your day with Epcot ends with watching illuminations.

Don't try to do TOO much just play some things by ear, have fun, take all the Disney in and relax :) Have a great time on your trip!

No problem at all! And, trust me I know what you mean. We are going for my birthday at the end of this month for the food and wine festival and I have to be extra good so that I don't have to be that weekend;) and I just started my official training today for the Disney Princess 1/2 marathon!

But like I said, have a great time!!

At which resort are you staying? Most of them have great little nooks and crannies for romantic moments. The AKL has a great bonfire in the evening perfect for wine or hot chocolate. There is a gazebo at SSR where you can sit and watch the lights of DTD. The fireplaces at WL are great cuddle spots. There are several awesome spots for romance all around the Boardwalk. Even the All-Stars have a few quiet spots.

If you are at any of the resorts connected to DTD by water be sure to take the boats, especially at night.

The Poly beach for the fireworks is amazing. You can also try the dock outside Narcoossee's or the deck at the Contemporary. The California Grill is perfect for both sunset and the fireworks. Since you are on a budget and ADR's are probably gone by now you might try going for a drink and appetizer, I like the flatbread pizzas. Sunset will probably be more likely than fireworks.

Since your BF is a picky eater and you seem to be on a budget I'd suggest breakfast buffets, they are usually cheaper than dinner or lunch, and even the pickiest eaters can find something they like. For CS meals try Sunshine Seasons at EPCOT. It has a huge selection. Pecos Bill in MK has great burgers with a nice fixin's bar and it shares seating with a CS Mexican restaurant so you have more choices. It might be hard to get an ADR, but the Sci-Fi Dine-in usually holds a few tables in back for walk-ups. It won't be one of the cars, but you still get great theming at a reasonable price and the food is all burgers and sandwiches. Your BF will definitely be able to find something he likes. At AK Flame Tree BBQ is solid and simple. The moderate resorts all have great sit-downs that are a little better priced than the deluxe resorts or the parks; Maya Grill, Boatwright's, and Shutter's are generally geared for families with big portions and a nice price.

Do a little research. You can find the menus for most restaurants on here or on the official WDW site. You can save a lot of time and heartache when travelling with a picky eater if you find some favorites and eliminate others ahead of time.

Finally, make some ADR's you might not get exactly what you want this late, but it's better to have something than be really scrambling while on property.

Food budget stretchers- We brought the individual "snack sized" ziploc baggies with cereal (kashi or granola will keep you full longer)- this won't add too much weight to your luggage. You can save a lot of $ by eating a satisfying in room breakfast (buy milk in the am from the food court or try storing it in the in room refrig. We also found that a lot of the table service kids meals are PLENTY of food for us to eat(he is built like a big linebacker, I'm 5"8"). We use Brita filter bottles and ask QS restaurants for ice water- no sense in forking out half your food budget on cokes in the parks.
Try walking around Port Orleans Riverside at night for a romantic stroll- or the beach at any of the monorail resorts. Have a great time!!!

We'll be staying at either All Star Music or Art of Animation. I will definitely have to look into the menus some more. Hopefully at some point my daughter will take a nap and I'll be able to! Hahaha. I was hoping to drive so we could stop at Walmart to grab some extras, but since my boyfriend booked our flight [without telling me] I'm stuck working around it. "/

I haven't been to AoA yet, but I'm sure they have some hidden spots. My wife and I found a big hammock at one of the All-Stars that was perfect for a relaxing cuddle.

There are several services in the area that will deliver food and other stuff to your resort. I've never used one, but I've heard good things.

Sunday: Fly from PHL to MCO; Get settled into hotel and relax.
Monday: Hollywood Studios (magic hours until 11)
Tuesday: Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney
Wednesday: Downtown Disney and pool relaxation day.
Thursday: Magic Kingdom (open til 7) then Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party until midnight.
Friday: Epcot (Magic hours until midnight, so we can sleep in if we need to.)
Saturday: Fly :)
I think you are wise to not take on too much the first day. Get to sleep early. Falling asleep is difficult the first night in a new place. Since you're young and may not know this yet, your boyfriend will certainly want to...um...be amorous on the first night. Aside from the fact that he's 20, there is something about hotel rooms that turns men into amorous fools. I don't know what it is, but it is a common thing with them. I mention this only in the interest of helping you plan for what time you will be able to fall asleep. You want a good sleep so that you are well rested for your first real day. :)

Rather than taking a full day off, I'd plan mornings or afternoons. Maybe sleep in after staying out late for fireworks. Also, that's a lot of Downtown Disneying. I'd go to Epcot Wednesday morning. It is very likely that after MNSSHP, you'll want to sleep late, so you'll get your morning in there.

I've taken many a granola bar on the plane.

I hope this all made sense.

If you have $300 for food for a week and you can't leave WDW property to eat, forget about sit-down meals. Most will be at or near $100.

$300 for two people to eat at WDW for a week is stretching it. Bring some Nature Valley granola bars. That should carry you to dinner on a couple days.

Instead of buying souvenirs, I'd stick more money in the food budget!

Go do the Mouse boats on the water .. Also when we travel I put a medium suitcase inside the large suitcase, so when we get there I have an extra for souvenirs, and I still send a box home from the World of Disney store

We'll actually have more than that, that's just our "We hope we don't have to spend too much more than that" amount. We may be pushing our week back to December though, so that would give us an extra two weeks to save, so I wouldn't mind that very much.

Personally, I think you've got too much down time. Honestly I wouldn't even bother with downtown Disney. It's far from a must-do Reconsider how much time you've allotted for that.

I'd pack more park time in your first few days. That way if you guys are crazy about a certain area you'll have lots of time to revisit, as opposed to waiting til your last day or two and then regretting time lost.

I was thinking the same thing. Last time I was in Florida we spent the majority of the time at the pools and I was bored to death! We only went to ONE Disney park the whole trip. Luckily my friend and I got to sneak away for one day to hit Universal for the Harry Potter grand opening, but none the less, I wanted to do more DISNEY.
We've had to change our dates, so I think this is our plans as of now instead of the one I posted before.

Sunday: Flight from PHL lands at 6:09pm, then dinner and relaxing at the hotel. (I can't sleep on a plane so I'll probably need it)
Monday: Animal Kingdom AND Downtown Disney (AK closes at 6, so we'll have time for dinner and shopping after)
Tuesday: Hollywood Studios (Open until 8pm)
Wednesday: Wandering around other resorts & Late afternoon to Magic Kingdom
Thursday: Magic Kingdom & Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
Friday: Epcot (Extra Magic Hours until 12:30am)
Saturday: Relaxing by the pool until our flight at 7pm

On my next trip next year on a day "off" from the parks, I plan to go resort hopping. Since it will be Christmas 2013, the resorts will be decorated and so I'll feel like I'm in a park!! Plus it will give me an opportunity to eat somewhere nice outside the parks without taking time away from inside the park.

Be flexible with your schedule. Planning on some down time makes shifting things easier if there is a rainy day, or too tired or something unexpected.
If you can rent a car for an afternoon or have your friend drive you, the two Disney owned outlet stores are great for buying gifts. I've done Christmas shopping there a couple of times and gotten some great bargains.

For your souvenirs, if they take up more room than you can carry back with you then go to the gift shop in your resort hotel and ask to have them shipped. A couple of years ago we purchased a few large items like a monorail set and maybe a contemporary hotel and a few other things for my daughter for Christmas. Anyway I had to ship it back so she would not see it and was pleasently surprised that all of these large items cost me like $35.00 to pack & ship. When they arrived at home via UPS they were packed extremely well with plenty of packaging to protect everything. I would definately use this service again if needed.

For romantic things to do, you could try the carraige ride available @ Fort Wilderness. Call the 407-WDW-Play number and ask about it. I surprised my wife with it one year.

That sounds really great. I'll have to look into both of those. I'm not even sure if I have a bag that I can use as my carry on! Another thing I'll need to buy or borrow.
