There are no TARZAN meet and greets anymore?

I havent been to Animal Kingdom in a few years (there hadnt been enough there for me to continue going) but this year we are going because we all want to ride the new coaster.....anyway, I heard they no longer have Tarzan doing meet and greets because some of the ladies (and I use that term loosely in this situation) could not control themselves around a man in a loin cloth....are you kidding me? what is wrong with some grown women?


What a disappointment for the kids....look at this video, those kids were so happy!

The guy who did Tarzan, in my opinion, did a GREAT job!

I think that LLama meant that the thread is useless without phone numbers of the women who couldn't control themselves so he could hook up.

Diva, it does stink they no longer do those meet and greets due to lack of respect by grown women. Are you sure they don't have them in the area of where you take the train back to? (Rafikas I think)? They may just not have them out in the main area of the park anymore. I can't remember if we saw tarzan back there, but we did see Jiminy Cricket, pochahontas and a few others.

while I'm sure that was an issue, the princesses go through that on a daily basis, and are still chugging. Tarzan is just a very hard character to find friends for

Tarzan doesn't do M&Gs at Rafiki's Planet Watch- as of right now, it's only Pocahontas, Jiminy, and of course, Rafiki

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure exactly who was back there, but I do remember Jiminy, as that dang bug had eluded me for years in the parks :ROFLOL:

Wouldn't you know it though, we went to Disney Land about a month after WDW this time and I saw that dang bug everywhere on that trip doing M&Gs:ROFLOL:

It's a conspiracy I tell ya.

He was at Rafiki's Planet Watch last December, near where the lady with the snake was sitting.

He and Rafiki were posing for photos with the guests.

The guy in the video looked about as much like the Tarzan in the animated movie as my Dodge Durango. He looked more like a white Jamaican drummer in a cheap tropical themed club in Nebraska.

Plus... i have visited AK a kazillion times as it is my fav and I live 16 miles away... and I have never seen this character in the park. Except for the muscle bound monster that appeared in the Tarzan show. At least this guy in the video has a more tarzan like physique if not face and hair style.
