If you think of Main Street at MK as a slice of Americana from a specific time and place, then so is Dinoland. It's part of those old road trips Americans took, and the nostalgia of those tourist traps and cheap attractions, as idealized as Main Street USA.
I understand that everyone on these boards already gets that, but with Main Street USA, the average guests moves past when they think, and accesses their emotions and nostalgia for the illusion that doesn't really exist.
There is a difference between simply understanding that theme, and taking it that to that emotional, nostalgic level. Main Street accomplishes that, and Dinoland doesn't. Why?
I wonder. . . Is this an example of the theme itself being poorly executed or is there a general lack of feeling about this aspect of Americana, and the theme should never have been attempted?
