Is there a certain song that reminds you of any theme park, regardless of who owns it?

For me, "Moment Like This" by Kelly Clarkson reminds me of Disney. I remember them using that song for their commercials a few years ago and that's what made me want to go there.

For non-Disney I would say that Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" reminds me of Six Flags St. Louis.

I think we have heard it on every Disney Trip at some point, in the beginning it was an accident, now it's tradition.:eek:

Heard it on the radio for the first time back in 93, and every time there after until we either bought the tape, or made a CD on it so we KNEW we could hear it.

Oddly enough - Ricky Martin's "Livin La Vida Loca" and Backstreet Boys "Everybody" both remind me of Disney. I took a HS trip there the year those songs were popular and it's alllllll I heard for the week. Everytime I hear either, I'm instantly transformed back to that wonderful trip...lol.

Sad...I know. Haha

The Mannheim Steamroller Meets the Mouse album was one of the few cassettes I brought with me (for my old Walkman) back in '99, and I specifically remember listening to it in the early dawn hours in the car on the way to the airport, and then in the terminal waiting for the flight to MCO. Since then I 've always queued up the album (now on the ol' iPod) for the journey to the airport itself, the first music I hear that day.

I wish I could think of a non-Disney recording since that appears to be the spririt of what OP asked about. There are, I guess, alot of non-Disney songs in the background music loops throughout the parks - for example, sometimes when I hear something big band/swing playing it'll remind me of The Land atrium. Tomita's music reminds me of Epcot, because it's pure synth.

I'm listening to "A Whale of a Tale" right now and it reminds me of 20,000 Leagues where Ariel's Boring Grotto is.

It's called "The Trolley Song" from the movie "Meet Me in St. Louis" from 1944.

I recently came across the Judy Garland version in my mother's cd collection.

Just like SirNim, the Mannhiem Steamroller cd will instantly take me to the parks, as does the Millinium Celebration cd from 1999.

is it this

Trolley Song
All:
clang, clang, clang
went the trolley
ding, ding, ding
went the bell
zing, zing, zing
went my heartstrings
as we started
for huntington dell

chug, chug, chug
went the motor
bump, bump, bump
went the brake
thump, thump, thump
went my heartstrings
as we glided
for huntington lake

the day was bright,
the air was sweet
the smell of honeysuckle
charmed me off my feet
i tried to sing
but couldn't squeak
in fact, i felt so good
i couldn't even speak

buzz, buzz, buzz
went the buzzer
time to all disembark
time to fall
went my heartstrings

as we got off
at huntington park
as we got off
at huntington park

some guy shouts:
hey! look who's coming!

Esther:
with my high-starched collar
and my high-topped shoes
and my hair piled high upon my head
i went to lose a jolly
hour on the trolley
and lost my heart instead

with his light brown derby
and his bright green tie
he was quite the handsomest of men

i started to yen
so i counted to 10
then i counted to 10 again

clang, clang, clang
went the trolley
ding, ding, ding
went the bell
zing, zing, zing
went my heartstrings
from the moment
i saw him, i fell

chug, chug, chug
went the motor
bump, bump, bump
went the brake
thump, thump, thump
went my heartstrings
when he smiled,
i could feel the car shake

All:
clang, clang,clang

Esther:
he tipped his hat
and took a seat
he said he hoped he hadn't
stepped upon my feet
he asked my name
i held my breath
i couldn't speak because
he scared me half to death

Guy:
hiya, johnny!

Esther:
chug, chug, chug
went the motor
plop, plop, plop
went the wheels
stop, stop, stop
went my heartstrings
as he started to go
then i started to know
how it feels
when the universe reels

All [except ester]:
the day was bright
the air was sweet
the smell of honeysuckle
charmed you off your feet
you tried to sing
but couldn't squeak
in fact, you loved him so
you couldn't even speak
ooohhh

Esther:
buzz, buzz, buzz
went the buzzer
plop, plop, plop
went the wheels
stop, stop, stop
went my heartstrings

as he started to leave
i took hold of his sleeve
with my hand
and as if it were planned
he stayed on with me
and it was grand
just to stand
with his hand holding mine
to the end of the line!

All:
zing, zing, zing
went my heart
heart!

Zip a dee doo dah: Tip for today!

here's each park for me and what song they represent:

DAK- Grasslands Chant
DHS- California Dreamin'
Epcot- Illuminations medley
Magic Kingdom- A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

Walt Disney1955

Hard to say, but here are some:

Epcot - "Imagination" song from Figment. For whatever reason that screams Epcot when I think of it

DHS - "Under the Sea" from the Little Mermaid

Animal Kingdom - Nothing yet, only been there once and nothing has stuck with me

Magic Kingdom - It's a Small World, Zip-a-dee-do-da, It's a Great big beautiful tomorrow, When you Wish upon a Star

But out of all these songs nothing captivates me quite like Small World when I hear it. I could be listening to it over Youtube and I feel like I am in the park

Clang went the trolly .Yep , SNL and the Sweeny Sisters . Anyway , that song reminds me of WDW , not because I heard it AT the park , but from hearing it OVER AND OVER AND OVER while on hold , waiting to make ADR !
