trying out a new mac & cheese recipe, & made it in a dutch oven. just took it out shortly after posting this pic.
And how did the final effort taste? Looks great.
Looks tasty! (Can you share the Dutch oven recipe with us?)came out pretty good. i’m in a carb/cheese coma right now.
i found the recipe on youtube from a channel called the culinary fanatic. i shredded 1 pound sharp cheddar, 1 pound mozzarella, 1 pound monterey jack. boiled pasta until almost cooked. leave it a little hard. add a few wedges of butter to hot pasta so it doesn’t stick & set aside. use butter to coat the lining of the dutch oven. start with a layer of pasta in the bottom, then add your cheeses layer by layer. sprinkle some basil on the cheese, & repeat layering the pasta/cheese/basil. when finished sprinkle parmesan & romano cheese on top with some paprika.Looks tasty! when finished, mix 4 eggs, 3 cups milk, 3 teaspoons salt, 3 teaspoons sugar. pour into the middle of the pot slowly. set oven to 375, bake for 30 minutes & remove from oven. take the lid off the dutch oven & put back in the oven for another 20-30 minutes to brown.
