As Paul Pressler said awhile back - there WILL be a 5th park at wdw (he went on to say, "whether in my lifetime or yours) , but anyway! I was thinking of possible themes for the next park, here are a few ideas. please share your own ideas.

  • Floridian Adventure
  • A copy of Tokyo Disney Sea
  • Villians

i'm not neccasarily saying that i like those ideas, its just a few i though of. I doubt that they will do "Floridian Adventure" because of what a letdown the Californian Adventure has been.

I would LOVE to see a copy of TDS! it would be fantastic!

I doubt that they will do villians as it isnt really portraying the "family" image that disney shows - although if they want to attract more teens then they may consider this.

what are your ideas? :D

Maybe something based on outer space would be good. Or something based on the past (medevil, dinos, caveman, or something based on the times of all the great inventions (electricity, phones, cars..etc..)?

Although I've heard rumors of 'Beastly Kingdom' opening its not a certainty. So I say... a park w/ THRILL RIDES!!! Disney needs some bad COASTERS!!! They have to compete w/ IOA.

Actually Beastly Kingdom is going to be part of Animal Kingdom ( CAN'T WAIT). I think the best option for disney would be a whole park dedicated to thrill rides. Maybe like Coaster Kingdom or something like that. I think this would attract a whole new bread of crowd that usually wouldn't go to Disney cause it is " TOO KIDDY". Guess we just have to wait and see. I am sure there is an imagineer somewhere working on this concept and it is just a matter of time that we find something out about it, we will be due a new park some time around 2008 or so.

How about something like the lands from the movie Westworld? They could have lands based on the old west, old England, ancient china, maybe one made to look like Antartica.
The only big problem will be getting the robots to look like Yul Brenner.

The only problem with doing something that caters to a crowd of coaster lovers is that it goes against everything that the Disney parks were built for.
They were built to be a place for kids and adults to enjoy together. A lot of parents enjoy rollercoasters but not even closed to as many kids i'd bet..

They need to do a copy of Disney Seas

A disney park has to have something to please EVERYONE...so to focus on a single theme like "space" would cut out half the people who really arent into sci fi

Disney Seas is the most feasable option..the different themed lands is perfect for that "Disney feel"...and has almsot endless possibilities....the only downsides i see with that are::

1.) Its too much like epcot
2.) People are going to say its a copy of IoA

...I have full faith in them choosing a good theme when the time comes...but I dont think we have to worry about that for quite some time yet ;)

Though this subject has been discussed many a time.....

I would like to see an Ancient Kingdoms Park. I think if they use very well known ancient civilizations like Mayans/Aztecs/Incas, Egyptians, Romans, Greece/Atlantis, China/Mongolia, and Vikings/Norse Mythology it would be awesome. First of all there are already movie tie-ins to some of these people anyway: Emperor's New Groove (Incas), Hercules (Greece), Atlantis (Atlantis), Mulan (China). I know that Busch Gardens already does this type of thing, put they don't have movies to go along with them.

The villains idea would be better suited as a new land in MK but I hope to see it come about eventually.

Another idea I'd like to see is if Disney could somehow get the rights via New Line to do a Middle Earth/Lord of the Rings Park. That would be really cool, especially if they had "small" people be hobbits. I know Imagineers would have a field day with recreating Middle Earth and the rides would be awesome.

I would also thing the "Florida advenuture" could work out really well...since this is a pretty diverse state with a lot of culture...and hey..it would be a great place to put that hurricane simulator ;)

That, and of course when the robots started shooting everyone. :)

I only thought space would be good because of the imagination and looking to the future aspect that MK makes me feel.

How about a park that has sections (ala epcot) that are based on the cartoons? Atlantis... 101 Dalmations (imagine dogs running all over! heheh), Sleeping Beauty (giant dragon-witch ride!).. etc...

Me too, but it's fun to imagine.. :p

I would like a Villian park with some sweet thrill rides. I heard the name Shadowlands a little while back. Disney Seas would be a cool addition. I mostly want a thrill park because the thrill rides they've put up thus far have been so awesome.

I doubt we will see a Florida Adventure only because DCA failed pretty bad. So they wouldn't make the same mistake twice.

I have a feeling that the idea will be totally unique, whatever it is.

What about a "neverland" type park with attractions that never saw the light of day?
or a "best of disney" park with horizons, mr. toad etc..

I want WDW Seas, I don't want anything original just gimme what Tokyo has!

But of course.........

I don't see WDW getting any clone, so yes, I do think they'll put in something original, and I hope it's better than TDS!

I think Disney World is well known for being the source and not the receiver. With this I mean that always WDW was the first place where a park was constructed, and then the other Disney Parks around the world got their own "replica". Except California Adventure for obvious reasons. That's why I think they won't construct a Disney Sea at Orlando.
I think that a good theming would be Disney's America....

You are probably right that America is high on the list, but personally I don't want that. I want something more fantasy type, since we got AK not that long ago, and it is a real learning park.
