Sorry if this was already posted. I just read about it on another site.

"Walt Disney World filed paperwork with the county to expand the Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard, which is currently the home to Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage.

No other details are known at this time including what the fate will be of the current show. Let the speculation begin!".

An enclosed theater and new show would be great, it's time. BatB has had a great run and will have it's area at MK soon, and a great movie like Tangled could use a larger presence in the parks. It might be a replacement, but it would be a smart one IMO.

I dunno, BatB is a very timeless musical, if not Disney's finest. The song list from Tangled is pretty weak in comparison.

Interesting, no info on what "expanding" is though? Could it just be enhancing backstage for a new show or a total renovation all together of the plot.

Another thought, is there enough room at the premier theater to do beauty and the beast if they need to close the current theater completely?

probably not Aladdin, since the Disney Fantasy is getting it.

I'm not against using the Golden Mickey's concept from DCL and creating a variety show like they did in Hong Kong, allows them to keep the show fresh if there is a timeless song from a new movie by removing another song.

Here is my wish list.

Create an ocean side setting in the manner of Paradise Pier and bring the Nemo show from DAK over and install it in the TotS or the Fantasmic arena. Add a Crush clone from DLP in the area.

So basically from the current theater and the area around Fantasmic would become a new 'land' featuring the Nemo stage show, the Crush D ticket and a nightly showing of WoC adapted for DHS.

There are plans to bring something from DLP to DHS but it is not set in stone yet. More than likely it will happen.

Another show here would be nice, but its hardly the biggest issue in WDW at this point.

Seems to be a recent pattern, spend money on crap that's not needed when actual needs are neglected.

I think they should keep BatB but I would love an indoor theatre! I always wanted them to have more theaters....but then again, it's called Hollywood Studios, not Broadway....but it would still work. But they did have Hunchback of Notre Dam on a stage near Lights Motors Action, which is gone now.

I want to keep up to date with this story
