The worst decision WDW ever made?

So alien encounter was okay but censored Deadpool isn’t?
I never experienced alien encounter so I can’t say 100%. Of course that wasn’t the alien IP which did appear in the great movie ride.

An R rated movie is not necessarily the problem - Avatar is rated R and while it’s not how I would have chosen to expand DAK - the results are quite nice thanks to Rohde and his team “understanding the assignment” as the kids said a few years ago haha.

2 things here. 1 avatar is rated R? And 2 I’m confused you don’t seem to have actually answered anything I said if an R rated movie is not a problem then what’s wrong with Deadpool? He was censored

Oh it’s PG13 - for some reason I thought Avatar was R.

Deadpool is an extremely vulgar brand that is the exact opposite of family friendly.

Disney built their entire brand on family friendly entertainment and whenever CEO’s think it should be beyond that - I think they are wrong. I go to Disney to escape the real world.

Brand and image should be important.

I concur that Deadpool is a extremely vulgar brand and should not be allowed in the parks in that fashion but the existing limited presence in California Adventure is hardly inappropriate

The specific show that was performed was not inappropriate - and I liked the splash mountain joke.

I have no issue with Aliens, Deadpool, Planet of the Apes or Simpsons in the parks.
I would love to see your blue sky ideas for the park - they are so different from mine. It would be fun.

I feel that with them adding Cars and Monsters Inc, they are now chasing the similar market as Universal. Since they own Fox, make use of it. Not everything needs to family oriented or something all ages can ride.

Villans should be based on Aliens, Planet of the Apes and Predator. Make it dark and scary with some intense attractions.

You really want an alien ride it should go in Hollywood Studios I refuse to lose the rivers of America and a land based on Walt Disney animation villains for all that stuff

I like Disney best when Disney is Disney!

Otherwise…. I wouldn’t like Disney. Did that make sense? I don’t think so. Haha
It makes sense. I just feel they have moved away from what they once were, that at this point might as well go all in.

For me Disney was at its best, when each park was different and the focus on dark rides and less thrills
