The Worst Animated Disney Feature

Just wondering what everyone thought was the worst Disney animated feature of all time. Personally, I find Chicken Little to be lacking the most, but honestly, I cannot even say that any of the animated Disney features are extremely bad. I also found Home on the Range, Treasure Planet, and Make Mine Music to be below average. :king:

This is a tough one but lowest on my list would be home on the range or peter pan 2. I also cant say any of disneys feature animated movies are bad. Some are very average but none truely bad.

Chicken Little, The Black Cauldron, and Home on the Range. I don't count the sequal movies like Peter Pan 2 because, well, they're not really official feature length Disney movies like Beauty and the Beast.

Well...although Peter Pan 2 was released in Theatres, I'll go with orginals. I'd have to say either home on the range, or The Great Mouse Detective, both of which I thought were good, just not up to Disney's High Standard.

But even the worst movie by Disney is considered an Ok or good movie by any other company, they just have the bar set so high.

I'll say Black Cauldron is probably the worst feature made. I would stick Dinosaur as probably second...it looked pretty, but most of it was actual video footage of background with dino's on top of it. It was the first Disney film I walked away from not knowing what to think.

I love Lilo and Stitch, but it's Lilo that makes it great for me. She is the perfect example of children that I've actually met and known. It has beautiful watercolor backgrounds too...and a tribute to Dumbo (which was the last film before to have watercolor backgrounds)

Don't forget Dinosaur was basically The Lion King crossed with the Land Before Time. The film was a great feat technologically, too bad they didn't have the story to match.

The Black Cauldron is probably the worst. It is just a mess, as it was made at the darkest point in Disney animation history.

And I'll always love the film Disney made after The Black Cauldron- The Great Mouse Detective!

Hmm... this is kind of difficult. I know Home on the Range certainly ranks up there as one of the worst... I can tell you this much, though, Lilo and Stitch is actually my favourite Disney-animated (hand-drawn, not CGI) film since the new millennium, at least. Personally, I like the little guy, and don't see why a lot of people see otherwise. Too cutesy?

I don't know why people don't like Home on the Range so much...I actually found it entertaining and it had some very unique character designs. I know a lot of people think "it's about cows...", well, three little pigs was about what? Pigs. They are farm animals as well and are, in my opinion a lot more unappealing than cows. I liked the fact that it used different color keys for scenes...the yodeling scene where all the cows are mezmorized for instance...we haven't seen anything like that since the Hefalumps did it in the original Winnie the Pooh.

Oh well tho....I could probably do without the Aristocats as well...the animation as that point seemed to resemble many other features of the time. It had no ingenuity to it and the story didn't seem all that strong to me...I watched it the other day and wondered what they were thinking when they were doing it.

Chicken Little. It just seemed like it could have been better. It was more like something I could watch on a Saturday morning cartoon condensed into 30 minutes, say on Playhouse Disney after the Doodlebopps or something. It is cute, don't get me wrong. It just seemed over-hyped for what it is.

The Black Cauldron is the worst. Can't say I liked any bit of it.

Atlantis runs second, there are some entertaining moments with some cool ideas, but really kind of an odd story where none of the moments aiming for the heart really worked.

On a side note, the movie I most expected to dislike but ended up appreciating was Treasure Planet. Here's a movie with terrible box office, but I actually thought it was pretty well done, great 2D animation mixed with CG effects, and the Jim Hawkings/ John Silver relationship was pretty effective. Hey, it even scored a 72% on Rotten Tomatoes. Not bad. It's a shame this film was blamed by Disney execs as the one that killed traditional animated films, but hopefully with the new regime that perception will change.

Probably Home on the Range or the Black Cauldron. I didn't like either very much. HOTR is probably the worst for me because it felt like a huge step backwards in story and animation-style for Disney. Almost felt like an effort to prove to everyone why 2-D didn't work and was upsetting at the time to think that this would be the last 2-D animated feature Disney was going to make.

Thankfully, Lassester, Clements, Musker and Alan Menken are on board for what could be another Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast with the 2-D animated Frog Princess currently in production.

Fun and Fancy Free, Three Caballeros, Victory Through Air Power.... And I am not too fond of Fox and the Hound either

Wow, I've only watched it three or four times, but I think Victory Through Air Power is one of the most important films ever made by Disney. It is well-researched and well done, and is surprisingly exciting and able to hold attention. And if the legend is true, Winston Churchill saw the movie and told FDR that he HAD to see the film before he made any decisions about the Invasion of Europe.

There are few that don't interest me but one I just can't stand is Hunchback. I saw it at the movies with my wife and disliked it then saw it later on with my daugher on video and was still just as bad.

I know others mentioned Treasure Planet but I actually dug it.
