"Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams" created for Disneyland's 50th Anniversary might as well been the last time Disney actually created an Anniversary Parade at the U.S. Disney Parks.

Since then, both Disneyland and especially Walt Disney World prefer holding cavalcades (in WDW's case, reskinning parts of the Move It, Shake It! floats and simply changing the music) taking the cheaper route.

Currently, Tokyo Disneyland and recently Disneyland Paris' still does Anniversary Parades.

That is actually Disneyland Paris's standard daytime parade, it was new for the 25th and we expected to get a new or heavily updated version for the 30th but... yeah COVID.

We did however receive an amazing Central Plaza show which could be compared in principle to MK's Move It Shake It. I am sure @marni1971 won't mind me linking to his excellent video of Dream... and Shine Brighter! from DLP30, it is well worth a watch. Bob Iger was seen watching this during his recent DLP visit and he seemed to like it.

I don't normally like castle shows, but that show was so much fun! The Cast Members were really phenomenal, including the crowd control people leading the crowds in dancing to the theme song after the show ended.

That brings me to another big distinguishing factor between DLP's 30th and WDW's 50th: Disneyland Paris actually came up with two catchy theme songs for the celebration (Un monde qui s'illumine and Ready for the Ride) that you heard a lot when you were there and I think a lot of people will remember fondly for quite a long time. WDW managed something similar with Remember the Magic for the 25th, but both the songs that premiered with the 50th celebration (The Magic is Calling and You Are the Magic) were kind of duds. Like almost every aspect of the 50th celebration, they seemed superficial and completely lacking in any feeling.

Dream... and Shine Brighter! is "Movie It! Shake It!" done right. I've never seen a Disney Park show this energetic and alive in a while.

I remember somebody made a comment explaining why "Remember the Magic" was so memorable and heartfelt compared to "The Magic is Calling" in one of these threads. If I remember correctly, Remember the Magic's song and lyrics was very poetic since it was aimed at both newer and longtime visitors of Walt Disney World and how certain aspects smaller or major can leave a big impressions for the rest of their lives. I might post that comment later in this thread when I come across it again.
