Perhaps he 50th Cavalcade was the bigger announcement they felt to to make for 10/1 of the two but FOF is returning on 10/1?

Wonder if this unannounced surprise is the return of something or something new. What else could it be specifically for MK?

A night parade would have leaked out by now you would think.

One unexpected thing again: Tokyo Disney Resort, Disneyland Paris, HKDL, and Shanghai Disney Resort, will joining WDW for its 50th anniversary in the last minute as four other resorts (Along with DLR) recognizing WDW as Disney's first resort. Disneyland will also decorating Sleeping Beauty Castle with WDW 50th.

They were originally plans to do it pre-COVID before it was scaled back.

Could this be a clue? There's a temp platform on the Castle Stage according to Twitter. I'm guessing that's just for 10-1, not 10-1 onward?

Nope. People on both coasts would have been all over that. From what people we trust have been told, there is no nighttime parade coming to WDW, at least for the foreseeable future.

So sad that there have no nighttime parade. At least, the experience in WDW is better than Disneyland, which had no parade from September 2019.

Despite many speculation or suprising event in October 1, i would be exciting to see Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary celebration, with many people from West Coast (where Disneyland is originated) booking their travel to WDW for celebrating 50 years of magic. The hype of the WDW 50th celebration is more than what Disneyland does for 50th anniversary in 2005.

Yep. and that they are adding something to it seems to indicate that they plan to keep it for a while which is reassuring. I love the EWP

I just hope/wonder if whatever it is is something for the entire 50th (or beyond!) and not just a 10/1 one off. I much prefer investments in things that many months worth of guests can enjoy as opposed to only those in the parks for a single day.
