Pre-Trip The "We are finally riding Dumbo 1st birthday extravaganza" pre-trip report

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe its already time to plan this trip! It was not quite a year ago that we were heading to Disney for our gender reveal! And now, our little nugget is 8 months old!

Who are the Characters this trip? Me, my DH and my DS!

Here's the plan!

Sunday May 31st -
Fly in to MCO. DME to WL
We are going to hang out at the resort this day. We made dinner reservations at Whispering Canyon. Normally, not my favorite but its really the only TS option for 1 credit. We might change this later and do a QS instead and use the TS credit elsewhere. We are looking forward to spending time at the resort. Maybe do the water pageant, movie, s'mores? Can't wait to see what kind of activities they have going on at the WL!

Monday June 1st -
Magic Kingdom
After I melt down into a total mushy pile of tears and happiness, we will spend the day at MK.
11:30 a.m. - 1st Hair Cut at Harmony Barber Shop
At some point this day - we will meet Mickey Mouse and ride Dumbo. My DH and I have never ridden Dumbo together. On our honeymoon to Walt Disney World in 1995, my DH and I decided to wait and ride Dumbo when we had a baby. We never thought it would be 10 years later!
We will head back to the resort to rest via the ferry.
Lunch - where ever the day takes us
Dinner - Crystal Palace

Tuesday June 2nd -

Animal Kingdom
We will spend most of the day here, not leaving to take break but rather, end early and spend the evening at the resort.
Lunch - QS at Yak and Yeti
Dinner - QS probably at WL

Wednesday June 3rd -

Epcot
Lunch - Rose and Crown
Dinner - Via Napoli

Thursday June 4th -

1st Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Magic Kingdom
It has EMH so we will get there early and then head to Chef Mickey for a very special birthday!
Lunch - Chef Mickey
We are having a smash cake at Chef Mickey to celebrate!!!
Back to the resort to rest and then back to MK.
Dinner - probably a QS or this is where we will swap the TS from Whispering Canyon.

Friday June 5th -

Last day!
Magic Kingdom until its time to head back to MCO via DME.

Thank you so much!!! It is so much fun planning this trip more then any other! I was looking on Etsy today for a cute little onsie for the big smash cake! :)

What a cutie pie you have! I think you have planned a great trip. I love that you saved Dumbo for this special occaision. Remember to take lots of photos, but still savour those precious moments. Looking foward to reading more!

Thank you! Yes, lots and lots of pics! I think we are going to have ride Dumbo several times - the first so we can just have that moment and again so we can document it! :)

He is just ADORABLE, and I feel really old thinking he is fixing to turn 1 in a few short months, LOL. Can't wait for your TR and all the pics. I am following along!

Thank you! I know, it is so hard to believe! I mean, I was just there "bumpin'" around the world and now it's his 1st bday trip! Everyone said this I'm goes fast but woah, does it ever! I'm waiting for the etsy shop to open back up so I can order his 1st bday shirt! :) and i make fast passes in a few days!! :)

So excited for you!!!!! I remember when you revealed that you were pregnant on here, and then the gender reveal was amazing!!!!!
Colin is adorable! I'm so looking forward to your trip report! And you will see as well, I thought I loved Disney before I had kids, but it's a WHOLE different ball game to experience it through your children's eyes. Truly magical! So happy for you!

I can't even imagine! I was watching #DWTS this week and it was disney week and already cried when I was holding Colin! Thinking the next time I would show him Mickey for real! Lost it! Im going to be a mess!!!

We are officially a week away!! I can't believe it is here. I am actually tearing up thinking about it. I so excited to celebrate my little Colin but this also means my little baby is growing up! Memories are flooding over me - my husband and I on our honeymoon promising that our first ride on Dumbo together will be with our baby. That was 10 years ago. I remember the trip with my mom in 2011 after all of our IUI's had failed and I started crying in Figment when I saw a couple in their mid 60's with out kids and I was thinking, that will be Niles and I...no kids. I remember the trip in Sept 2013 at PORS and Mad Hatter told me to throw a coin over the bridge and make a wish. I remember in Feb 2014, holding on to our blue balloon during Wishes. Watching Wishes knowing my hearts great wish had come true. And now, almost a year later, my little miracle is going to Disney World. We will finally ride Dumbo.

Geez Carey you got me crying my eyes out. I'm so very happy for you both. Colin is simply adorable. I wish we were coming to his party, Lol

Thank you!!! I hope to get it started right when we come back, but its his birthday party the following weekend and we have family coming into town. But I promise, I will do it as soon as I can! :)
