One time while waiting for the show, I used a Skyliner that a CM let me borrow and swung it around while it said "Buy Me!" In the process, she sold about a dozen of them and gave me a second one to use (I had to give them back). This one I made say "Look ma, I can make words."

Argh....How do you get that thing to work!? We still haven't figured ours out!!!:brick:

Anyway.... the audience did the Wave both times we went to Fantasmic. The kids thought it was great!:)

Standing room only is underrated as an option for Fantasmic. In the amount of time some people sit there and wait for the show, you can probably ride RNRC and Tower of Terror because those are the least crowded times for both of these attractions. And if you get in the Standing Room section on the right of the theater (Facing the stage) you will be closest to the exit and can save you quite a few minutes on waiting for a bus.

the wave sucks i hate that thing

Especially when there's only 7 or 8 thousand people doing it, like at Fantasmic.

The only time the wave can be considered somewhat cool is when there's at least 100,000 people doing it ;). And if you are going to do it at a football game, at least be smart enough to do it when your team is on DEFENSE! Nothing makes me more upset when some idiot tries to start the wave when we are on offense. Some people just don't know how to be a fan

Sorry for the thread drift to college football.

my friend and i did that, turned out they were from my town, and lived on my street, and had the same address as me, and look exactly like my parents:p

Now I don't mean that I think the show isn't worth waiting for. I think Fantasmic is the best show and best nightime offering on property. It is one of the few not to be missed shows at WDW.

But I do think that actually sitting down for Fantasmic is overrated.

The Wave is entertaining for 10 minutes, maybe 15 tops.

The whole set-up at Fantasmic! (thousands of people, uncomfortable seating, long wait) just screams PRE-SHOW to me. Something, anything.

mexican wave? haha. what, do you say HOLA! everytime you 'wave'?
That name in the UK comes from the 1986 World Cup. This is a genuine international completion in the sport of Association Football (Soccer) that takes place every four years - as opposed to the American version of a "World Championship" that is restricted to teams from America only (or maybe to include a token Canadian side) lol

Anyway, I digress - The 1986 World Cup took place in Mexico and it was during this tournament that the wave came to the attention of the British viewing public, hence it's getting christened "Mexican Wave".

Theres nothing like sitting right at the end of the seating and being caught by the end of one wave/start of the next when you've got an armfull of food...!

One other thing I noticed guest doing before Fantasmic starts is singing along with the music. There was a group of teenage girls really getting into singing along with "Part of Your World" and "Under the Sea"

I found myself singing along as well...
I think that the songs can pretty much make anybody sing along. My fav. to sing to is Topsy Turvy
