the wait at test track, what's up with that?

i driver faster every day on my commute home. no need to wait in line to sit in a car going 65mph. One of the more over rated rides in my opinion. It's fun once a trip, but not worth the waits by any means. I like how one poster said that it has more to do with lack of quality rides at the park than anything.
Seeeeee, thats what I was telling my husband! Want to go 75 miles an hour? Get on the interstate....HAHA

Its either Fastpass or the Single Riders line for me. I like the ride, but I'm too impatient for a 2 hour wait.

And while I go faster on the Parkway (No is a NJ State Trooper on here right?), I'm pretty sure my Jeep would flip over driving into those banks or shooting around the inside portion's curves.

I enjoy TT, but if I want that feeling, I just turn on my lights and sirens and haul @$$. Plus, I can clear myself for "Track Course B" BTW, Britt is a QT!

This post has me curious. Is it actually suppose to be a rip at RSR in DCA? Not sure I can recall too many 2 hour waits at TT after the first year it opened.

Test Track may not be great, but I don't understand this complaint that people throw around. Do you go faster on the interstate? Yes. But you also aren't on a narrow, one lane, elevated road in a self-driven electric, open air car, and you sure aren't taking that steep of turns at that high of speeds. Oh, and then everything that happens before the high speed run.

I rode Test Track without a fast pass and I didn't even wait an hour. I went to Epcot when it first opened. What I do is get fast pass for Soarin first and head to Test Track. Soarin is longest wait for a Epcot attraction. People usually head to soarin' first for getting in line or for a fast pass.

The 2 hour wait is likely caused by breaking down. In front of me in line for Test track last year, I saw a car break down. The other reason for the wait could be weather related since a part of the ride is outside.

The popularity of Test Track is easy to figure out there. There is a Racing crowd that goes to WDW aka F1 fans, NASCAR, Indy CAR, drag Racing and other forms of racing. The 2nd thing is Future World has issues for attractions. Journey into Immigration with Figment is not exactly popular. Wonders of Life no longer having attraction don't help.

World Showcase is better known for its shopping, entertainment, and food than rides.

I think its just due to the lack of thrill rides in Epcot. I would only wait two hours for a ride if I knew I was not going to WDW again for a few years ,even then it really depends on the ride.

Soarin has never had any time less than 70 min lately. I've never been on it but they don't offer FP either so I doubt I'll get to have my first ride on it until school starts again.

Riding Soarin and Test Track is for early in the mornings when the park opens and later when Illuminations starts. These are when you're least likely to wait. Don't be fooled by the wait times posted either, have come across many that have been nearly 20-30 minutes off of what it said.

But in response, the only way I would wait that is if I have not ridden it in my trip because it has been that crowded to where it just doesn't have a decent wait time.

Solution- Get to the park early, fastpass Soarin and then head to Test Track. Or I fastpass Soarin, ride Soarin, then head to Test Track and continue on to everything else.

Have only been to WDW during our Spring Break when the place is PACKED, so wouldn't know what short lines or wait times are. Still haven't even come close to riding TSMM in Disney Studios yet due to this fact. Good thing I am a VERY patient man when it comes to all the other attractions because 1-2 hours sounds like most wait times when we are down there for almost everything!!!

But who really cares now its closed. There will be a huge lineup with the new ride and we are all gonna wait the 2 hours just to check it out. Hopefully there will be a single riders line witch we all will use also. Expect huge wait times when 2.0 opens. Longer then 2 hours will be the norm

Looks good from outside. So people get in line. Which makes a long line. Which makes it look good. And so on.

And yes, blame Fastpass.

Soarin' does have FP -- although they're typically gone by afternoon.
