Trip Report The Tuvalu Chronicles ~ Chapter 25 *COMPLETED*

Welcome, welcome, welcome to my 25th trip report.

Over the past five years, I have loved chronicling my WDW adventures with fellow forum readers who share my Disney passion. Writing keeps the magic alive for me. Discussions that result from your comments are icing on the cake! I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read my posts. (And for those of you who have been following from the beginning ~ THANK YOU!!)

All my reports have been live, live-ish, or shortly-afterwards.....except one. In 2016 I wrote a retro TR detailing my first visit to the park that forever captivated my heart. You can read about it here. Or you can merely mock the photo below which is proof positive I cannot pull off wearing a hat.

Similar in style to last summer’s novel, this report will incorporate my June, July and August vacations. The ship has already sailed for a live report for June, but I may attempt some live updates in July/August. Or not.

Who: Tuvalu and Em
When: June 8-13, 2019
Where: Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Did we meet the Wicked Queen? Who got shoved in the Haunted Mansion? Did the rain rain rain come down down down? Was there an attraction evac? Did one of us really cause a ride to shut down?

Toy Story Land at 5 pm in July = HOT!

We rode Saucers. We couldn’t have been in the Land more than fifteen minutes total and it felt like we had completed a five mile hike through the Sahara Desert.

We needed a/c. Badly.

Thankfully it was time for dinner.

I remember last December (!) being at TSL and feeling so unbearably hot! Goodness, I could swear that after AK, this is the second hottest spot at WDW!

I feel for y'all with the HEAT. The heat and humidity here just smacks you in the face when you walk outside, and I know it's even worse down there right now.

Ok the Shirley Status now makes sense. Cause more general usage of a "Shirley" is WAY WAY more vulgar and not appropriate to two well cultured ladies such as Tuvalu and Em under any circumstances.
(Urban Dictionary gives the more commonly used definition, but I DO NOT suggest a visit to that site unless you have some brain bleach handy.)

I avoid Urban Dictionary like the plague. Thanks for the reminder.

He seems to be very popular, so I’m sure there will be a restock.

I'm actually interested in seeing what color(s) all those gondola support posts turn out to be. Will they be all go away green or sky blue or will they be themed to each area or will they simply alternate bright, fun colors or will they get themed wraps for different movies / seasons / holidays?!

Maybe that's why the gondolas are all gone... could it be time to PAINT?!

Don’t know if you have ventured into the official gondola thread (warning, it’s a cesspool) but the support posts are all galvanized steel and won’t be painted.

I spy a plastic bag- so they haven’t ditched then All yet. I love Em’s shorts- so hard to find a good length. Those look perfect- may I ask what brand and style? I need a few before we leave.

The CM asked if we wanted to purchase the large bag (at $3.50, no thank you) or if we wanted plastic. Plastic it was, especially since rain was in the forecast. (Did not want Figment to get soaked!)

Em’s shorts are from the Loft.

The club level concierge reached out a few days ago. I put in the request and also told them about the Mrs birthday during the trip. . You guys seem to be having a blast. Great tr
