Pre-Trip The trip that is all Tuvalu's fault.

The title isn't meant to be a bait and switch... Really. This trip may never have happened if it wasn't for @Tuvalu and @TrolleyFollower91 so I am truly grateful that they have shared so many of their trips together. I've always thought of Disney being a whole family trip until the kids got older and I realized it's a great place for adults only and now a mother daughter trip. :inlove:

This trip is a Mother Daughter trip.

Who: Me and C! C is graduating from High School in a couple of months and heading off to college to study Musical Theater Studies. The only things she loves more than Musicals is Disney and honestly it may be a tie.

Here are a few pictures of C through the years at Disney: She's the blond middle child.

Pretty bad here in MA too.
Fortunately (unfortunately?) we don’t have any tulips...

This is crazy!! It has started snowing again here.
How exciting - 70 days to wait! Those pre feelings are the best :)
I’ll be following along and so glad you got to take a trip together - I think Chris would still want to come now if I said I was going with my Mum!
Thanks for following. I'll try to eat as much ice cream as I can.

Some of our details:

We will be flying out Monday June 25th and our plan was to just have a relaxing day possibly at DS, do some resort hopping and some pool time for me.

We have four day base tickets. We'll spend one day in each park then fly out on Saturday.

That was the plan. But then I started thinking. One day at MK is just not right. Plus we are planning on MK being our last day. So to add a 5th day is only a total of $31 more. That was a no brainer. So after we arrive on Monday we do still plan on heading to DS for Earl of sandwich and we will be hopping on the "hot air balloon".

I was on Groupon and they have Aerophile for 1/2 price so for $23 for both of us we will be trying something new! Then we'll spend our first night at MK soaking up some magic!:inlove:

Where in MA are you? :jawdrop: That looks miserable! I'm near Boston and we have none of that slushy stuff (thankfully)! But we almost had some yesterday during the Marathon...

Western MA, north of Springfield. To be fair that picture is from yesterday. It’s mostly melted now. Mostly it’s a bummer with the kids off school this week. DS asked me “didn’t we already have winter?”

Oh the places we'll eat:

C and I decided to eat at all new to us restaurants. I let C pick out all of them and I must say she did very well.

First will be Earl of Sandwich on Monday since this is our DS day.

On Tuesday we'll be at Epcot and experiencing Les Chefs de France.

Tuesday we'll be at Hollywood Studios where I'll trying the famous Charred Steak at Mama Melrose!

Nothing planned for our AK day. We're just going to wing it.

Friday is our last day and we'll be at MK. C has hooked us up for The Plaza

But that's not all!! I got us tickets for the HEA garden viewing dessert party!!

I was a little unsure if I really wanted to buy these. I've said this before and I'll say it again. How can I pay over $100 to eat a few mediocre desserts and stand in an area when the person 15 feet away is standing there for free? But this is a mother daughter trip, it's special, it's something we'll both remember forever. I'm tearing up. In the end I'm very happy I chose to do this. I can't wait to report back to you guys and let you know how it went.

Love that sign!!! I hope to go to Disneyland eventually and hope you have a wonderful time. And I agree.... it's great that there are crazy people out there that love Disney like we do and have a place to discuss our obsession.

Awesome food choices too! We haven't eaten at any of those either. We were tempted to try the Plaza last time, but didn't work into our schedule. I think some experiences are worth paying for, at least once, especially if its a special occasion.

I don't think you'll regret it! We definitely did not. As long as you go into it knowing that you will not get your "money's worth" with the desserts, then you'll be free to enjoy the whole thing.

C and I looked at menus for the Plaza. I have a new found love for Reubens but I haven't heard the best about the Plaza's Reuben. The Fried Green Tomato sandwich sounds surprisingly good too.

I felt much better about my decision after our discussion on the other thread. Thanks!

C is a vegetarian. Her favorite QS was a sandwich at Columbia Harbour House. They no longer serve it. If anyone has a favorite vegetarian dish or know of places that has a variety and could share C would be grateful. I'm hoping she won't get stuck eating flatbreads and veggie burgers at the all QS. I did learn from @bee to ask if a vegetarian menu is available for our TS restaurants so we'll definitely do that.

Love your restaurant choices! My mouth is watering thinking about the steak from Mama Melrose! It is my favorite!! Love the lobster bisque and creme brûlée at Chefs de France. Haven’t looked at their menu lately so hopefully both items are still on there.
I think the dessert party is a perfect treat for a special trip! Definitely an event you will both remember!

I am pretty sure @prfctlyximprct is a vegetarian as well so she may have some suggestions.

Tangerine Cafe in EC.
This is an excellent suggestion! I forgot all about it. I've never eaten there but I've heard great things about it. It seems like I've seen a picture of a plate full of food, meat free. Was it in one of your reports?

I'm excited for Mama's and I think your right! Dessert at Chef's should be a must!! :hungry: Maybe I should stalk @prfctlyximprct for food like she stalks the ROL. :joyfull:

Excited to follow along. Your daughter is beautiful and must be very talented. Going to enjoy living vicariously through your trip. Plans look great so far.
Thank you! C is amazing when on stage. She becomes another person, it's awesome to see. But I'm Mom
With a PTR title like yours how can someone not follow along? ;)
:hilarious: When I decided to do another pre trip report the most pressure is coming up with a Title. While racking my brain I said to myself, It's all @Tuvalu's fault and Voila! a title was born. :joyfull: She inspires us to do and say ;) things we never thought we would.
