Pre-Trip The trip that is all Tuvalu's fault.

The title isn't meant to be a bait and switch... Really. This trip may never have happened if it wasn't for @Tuvalu and @TrolleyFollower91 so I am truly grateful that they have shared so many of their trips together. I've always thought of Disney being a whole family trip until the kids got older and I realized it's a great place for adults only and now a mother daughter trip. :inlove:

This trip is a Mother Daughter trip.

Who: Me and C! C is graduating from High School in a couple of months and heading off to college to study Musical Theater Studies. The only things she loves more than Musicals is Disney and honestly it may be a tie.

Here are a few pictures of C through the years at Disney: She's the blond middle child.

Ok... I'll stop. I just had a proud mom moment when looking at the pictures I had on my computer.:inlove:

How it came to be: A vacation started forming when I decided to cancel a credit card and realized I had enough skymiles that would cover flights for two people and I couldn't let them go to waste! Then when telling C about various trip reports many of which where Tuvalu and Trolley..... well it just snowballed from there. Then, when my place of employment had an auction with Disney tickets, it just seemed meant to be! I do feel guilty about it only being the two of us but the others just don't feel the same way about Disney that C and I do.

Now the when: 70 Days!! It almost seems crazy saying that!

But Where: Pop, We were trying to keep costs low so thought we'd do another Value. C chose POP and really wants to stay in the 50's.

Then Disney posted some discounts and we switched to: Caribbean

We were both pretty excited because we've never stayed there. We were aware of the construction and the food issues but honestly that didn't bother us. We weren't planning on having any meals at the resort and we will be at the parks mostly all day. C isn't one for pool time so I knew we would probably only be sleeping/napping at the resort.

Then @lostpro9het and @imahistorygeek scoped out the Caribbean for us. C and I thought we'd rather spend the extra money we would've spent staying at Caribbean at some sit down restaurants instead, so now we're back at:

All the mother-daughter trips on this forum really make me want to take a mother-daughter trip of my own! My mom doesn't really love Disney  So I guess I'll have to wait until I have my own daughter to go with someday and until then I'll live vicariously through you all!

Sounds like you will have a great trip. Can't wait to hear more!

Such a beautiful daughter you have! Nothing wrong with bragging on how proud you are of your kids. I should know... I do it all the time :hilarious::hilarious:. I love mother daughter trips. Our trips are usually me, my sister, and my daughter. Can't wait until a few years from now when we can just hop down and do a Mommy & Gracie trip!
Thank you so much!

Awesome and congrats to C! I can see why you're so proud!
Thanks fractal!

Ok I will be the super corny one...

Mother daughter trip?

Looks like two sisters if you ask me!!!!

Max you are now officially my favorite WDWmagic friend!

I assume all responsibility for this trip and want full credit for the AMAZING time you are going to have! 😁
:joyfull: You'll get all the credit! I really never thought about it until reading your reports and being envious....see what you started.

Should be an excellent trip! :)
We are so excited! It's actually been fun having C make a lot of the decisions.

What a terrible influence that @Tuvalu is! Lol
Sounds like a great trip in the works!
We discuss things almost daily. We've added a few things we've never done before. I can't wait!

I'm not sure what my mom will say when I suggest her and I do it. She likes Disney but I'm not sure if she'll want to go. I think she would but if not I'll drag her. Maybe you should do the same until you and your future daughter can go.

I’m in! I am so excited to read about this! Our daughters must be close in age. My Allie is graduating from high school in May. She will be heading to college in the fall as well. Don’t know what I will do with her 2 hours away! We are planning a mother daughter Disney trip for her 21st birthday! It’s still 3 years away, but I can’t wait! I hope your mom wants to go to Disney with you! Looking forward to reading all about your plans and trip!

C will also be around 2 hours away. I'm just glad it's not any farther! Your trip may be 3 years away, but to me half the fun is planning!! Fingers crossed for a me and my mom trip. I'll let you know if it will happen. She'll be 75 this year but she likes to keep moving so I really think it may happen.

Have a teen myself and celebrating her sweet 16 this November @ WDW with dad and little sis but definitely hope to do a mother daughter only trip one day in the future. Love the pictures through the years. What a beautiful young lady she has grown into. Following along... :)
Welcome to the Boards!! Thanks for following!

Your daughter is BEAUTIFUL!!! omg!! Cherish these times, I know I miss my mom all the time now that I'm in college. We're doing our annual mother-daughter trip in May :)
Thanks for the compliments on C! I like to think she looks like me. :hilarious:. kidding. I hope you do a report for your May trip!

Every year my trip is one with my mom. They are the best trips 😉!
Have fun!
Thanks Sabrina!
