@mharrington , your dark ride sounds great. It just seems that there isn't much left to do on it and our goal is to creat something new and unique. Plus, it seems that you've already gotten all of the brainstorming and General ideas down, which is a huge part of creating a ride, park, expansion, etc.
Exactly. Part of this process requires things to be created from scratch, not create something within the confines of what has already been created.

Well, that's not the impression I was given when this thread began. I was under the impression that it could be about ANYTHING at all. Besides, this idea of mine was technically never really done (i.e., it never actually debuted at a park before). It was "abandoned" in the sense that it was thought of but never really done. For more on that subject, go here: http://waltdatedworld.bravepages.com/id203.htm.

You can't build in this location unless you want millions of dollars spent in just stabilizing the land. Eisner attempt to be a resort their in the 80s/90s but it was quickly pushed aside because of severe soil issues.

It was originally going to be the site of the Venetian Resort and later the Mediterranean Resort.

Oh in that case there's basically no room for the waterpark in the general area of The Polynesian except the parking lots across if they were to be replaced by garages.

I mean you could use that site, you just have to keep in mind there is soil issues. If I am not mistaken it actually is one of the worst place to build in Disney :D

I am not participating, but know what would be unique though their is a lack of space, Discovery Island.

That plot of land between TTC and Contemporary was originally going to be a hotel pad, but when they started work on it (which is why it looks the way it does) they found the ground had lots of issues in terms of stability. So, they scrapped it and built the Grand Floridian instead (iirc the story).

Discovery Island could work I mean water parks aren't that big.

Correctish, The plans for the Venetian fell through in the 70s, and was later re-birth into the Grand Floridian in the 80s. After it finished and was successful in 88, Eisner's team purposed the Mediterranean Resort in the 90s to rival and some talks say surpass the Grand Floridian.

Yeah, I knew it was something like that...haven't read the story about it in ages though...

What I meant by parking lot cross though might be a little bit too hectic considering its the entrance T&TC.

Red is Water Park. Orange Water Park Garages. Blue T&TC Parking Garages

You can't build a hotel on it, but I have to wonder if it would be possible to do something like a water park, which doesn't have the same kind of foundation requirements.
