Now that we've seen the new talking characters being used for DAWM and The Disney Live tour..Have there been any talks to them using them for the parades or Fantasmic?

They will get to everything eventually. Probably roll them out as the costumes are replaced/refurbished.

i don't really see the point of using them in fantasmic. MIckey is always so far away that you really couldn't tell. and then the boats come by all they do is the little scarff rutine and are not actualy singing the melody.

Then again, a lot of guests have cameras that can zoom in like it's Wayne's World doing an extreme close-up.

What would be truely awesome would be if they could hook up some sort of voice synthesizer and have the characters talk when you meet them. I would love to talk to Mickey.
Of course that kind of technology may not exist, but it would be cool.

There is a rumor that the talking heads may be incorporated into a new revamped "Playhouse Disney" show that will replace the current one at MGM. It will be used to incorporate Mickey and Donald for the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It's really just a rumor at this point though flying around entertainment.

The new animated heads are absolutely awesome. However, to be truly appreciated, they need to be seen at a relatively close distance. I think they would be perfect for the parades, but shows like Fantasmic where the characters are so far away would likely not be the best use of these more expensive heads.
Right now, it seems both the Live Magic tour and DAWM have only Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy in this format. Since it seems to be working well, I hope that it will be extended to more characters soon. Until they all can be like that though, they probably shouldn't have any in the parades. As an aside, after seeing it in person, I actually prefer the face version of Hook and Smee. I wouldn't mind seeing them used in that format for meet and greets.

It was supposed to close and have Stanley taken out and Little Einsteins going in. That hasn't, and probably won't happen. It was supposed to be done around this time (May) but has been pushed back to January of next year with the possible re-do of the entire show. The rumor is that everything goes byebye and in comes a new Playhouse Disney-type show (more current from what is on right now).
From what I've heard, Bear and Stanley go out and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse goes in. Jojo is still very popular and they'd be foolish not to include Little Einsteins and Handy Manny. So who knows. :shrug:

I haven't heard anything about Playhouse Disney.
But, a little birdie told me that they will be rolling out the talking characters for the Celebrate the Season Show this Christmas at MK. FYI, Pluto and the Munks will also be talking as well
As for parades, i'm not exactly sure. Especially with Spectro, things might be a little tough. But, who knows. Only time will tell.
