Trip Report The Summer Adventure Continues....Our Live Disneyland Report Begins!

The morning we leave for Disneyland has come. We have spent the last six days in Arizona visiting my brother-in-law and doing some site-seeing. We spent some time in Phoenix where we visited our first water park,

Arrived at Disneyland :)

WOOOHOOOOO!!! :)
I've only been to DL 5 times...'68,'70,'72,'87 (the year Star Tours opened) and '10. Never been to DCA. When we were there in early June of '10 we were only there for the day. Cars Land was still in the middle of construction and WoC was a week shy of soft openings, so we stayed in Walt's original Happiest Place the whole day. :)
Really need to get back, SOON!!!
May be what DW and myself decide to do for our 25th...! :)

It was super hot and bright, so we only took these two.

Looks familiar. Although, not in the Mojave, I remember bein' in Tucson one time when it was 118 degrees.
But, it was a dry heat...! ;)
And come to think of it, we had a record high here in Austin of 112 back in either '00 or '01...?
This year, so far...108.....

GREAT pics! And congrats on the upgrade! :)
I remember walkin' outta' the terminal at LAX in '10, and the weather hittin' me in the face, rememberin' how much we LOVED it when we lived in SJ, and thinkin'... "If we were at WDW right now, we'd be sweatin' like..." Well...like we were at WDW in the summer...! ;)

One aside...
Hope the smog's not too bad. Looks a little thick on the horizon in those pics...? o_O

DL looks like a blast! Some day we'll get there .... That's the plan anyway! Speaking of CA weather, I noticed the kids were wearing jackets on the Fun Wheel -was it really that chilly? I suppose all that initial cloud cover really dampens the temps .... But your kids still look adorable! Chilly or not! Curious to see pics of the hotel ... Will you post some of those?

It's amazing how this part of the USA is so different then back east. Gorgeous drives!!

Yep, that's one of the things I LOVE so much about this country! :)
The closest I'd ever been east was when we lived in Huntsville, Al. for 18 months from 66 'til we moved to SJ, Cali. Dad was at the Redstone Arsenal-Marshall Space Flight Center.
The first time I ever went east was in 81' when a buddy from HS down here that was originally from the east moved back east after our sophomore year and came back down here to go to The University of Texas after HS.
He and a bunch of his buddies had a house on the Jersey shore for 2 weeks. And, believe it or not, it was at Seaside Heights, of all places...! The shore wasn't all that different than the craziness I had experienced anywhere on the Texas coast, actually, but Philly and NYC were like I was in a different country...! I lOVE this crazy country...!!!!! :)
