I think it looks fine, I just wish that the chimp scene didn't feel as similar to the Gorilla Encampment scene as it does. Would've liked to see an animal that's seen nowhere else like giraffes or cheetahs get their own unique gag.
I suddenly had the image of giraffes inside the Jungle Cruise boat instead of chimps...

Our first small glimpse of Mario Kart footage.

I'm sure the in-person experience will be wonderful with the ARG elements, but MAN is that way too many screens for my comfort level given how physical the rest of the land is. I watch this and outside of the outro transition basically all I see is gameplay footage. Hoping there's at least some physical elements in the transitional areas. I was picturing this ride being more akin to Indiana Jones/Journey to the Center of the Earth with a thrilling and fast paced ride through a physical setting that just happens to have a Mario Kart theme rather than it being, well...literally just Mario Kart.

I'm of a similar feeling. I'm sure it will be great to experience in person, but any ride videos probably won't be able to capture it all due to the mix of screens and AR glasses.

Most of the early leaks from Alicia said that the rest of the ride is mostly physical, the finale is the only heavy screen based part of the ride. Since she's been spot on so far, I do believe her. We just have to wait for full ride footage and/or being able to visit it.

That's great to hear! And yeah from early leaks I've seen of the ride's layout without spoiling anything it SEEMED like they were going in a more physical direction. Only time will tell. If those leaks I saw are true and it's a mostly physical ride, this seriously has the cards stacked in its favor to potentially be a Rise of the Resistance killer.

Also want to state for the record that after chasing the WDW high for nearly half a decade, I've set my sights on Tokyo for my next MAJOR trip. Because we need time for the pandemic stuff to god willing actually boil over, it will give my a good excuse to save up for a few years to really make it happen. Right now my initial thoughts are three days at DisneySea, two days at Tokyo Disneyland, with an additional few days broken up between stuff like exploring the city and potentially Universal Japan depending on budget/ease of travel.
