Saw the WandaVision finale
Overall I thought the finale was good - a solid 7/10. I'm not disappointed that many of the theories and easter eggs didn't get answered, or even that there were no surprise cameos. I appreciated the close story since this is Wanda's tale. But I am pretty bummed that the Fox Quicksilver turned out to be nothing. Such a wasted opportunity.

I thiiinnkk, and this is purely speculation, that the "big cameo" they teased was cut and that it was X-Men related. The same leaker who said White Vision would be revealed at the end of Episode 8 was saying Magneto was the cameo (although white vision coming in towards the end of the show isn't too hard to guess, so he could just be a fake leaker).

Because even aside from Bettany (who is now saying he was talkinh about himself as White Vision when he teased a cameo), there was people talking about a Luke Skywalker level cameo. Monika's and Woo's actors talking about big character reveals. Lots of signs pointing towards a big character/plot twist in the last 2 episodes that they now are backpeddaling and are acting like they didn't do or it was just a prank.

Plus, the Bohner reveal. Which I don't mind. I was prepared for Evan Peters to just be a fun casting gimmick. But feels like more of a bait and switch than I'd expect from Marvel and a plot line that ended really abruptly without going anywhere.

I thhhhiiiinnkkk there were bigger plans.

But either covid filming issues caused them to cancel it. OR when Hugh Jackman and Patrick Steward both declined to return (and discussed declining publicly) Marvel changed plans towards a full reboot of X-Men. Or something else idk.

But my theory is that there was X-Men plans and bigger plans with Quicksilver/Ralph that got cut last minute for whatever reason.

But aside from the anti-climax with Pietro and a few other nitpicks I really loved it! The finale was one of the weaker episodes, but still a strong ending. The Vision vs Vision philosphy debate was incredible and the goodbye in their house as the hex closed was heartbreaking and perfect. And I'm really clad Agatha was left alive and could easily see her be the Loki of this next phase.

I was actually super relieved nothing came from the Mephisto / X-Men rumors in the last episode.

Regarding Mephisto, I was neutral on him for most of the season. I read some of the theories which had me thinking his appearance was likely, but to be honest, I always saw his inclusion as a "big bad" a bit of a cop-out. It would have thrown all the responsibility onto another character so that Wanda could still be the hero in everyone's eyes. I like the fact that this show shows the heroes in the MCU are human and can make legitimate mistakes. Agatha is a better villain because she's trying to take advantage of Wanda's power, she is not the cause of it.

Then the Fox X-Men, which to be honest I was never on board with. I'm sorry, but that franchise is not worth saving. First Class, Deadpool, and Logan are the only enjoyable ones, the rest are mediocre to downright bad. They don't fit with the MCU's more comic-booky tone and would have completely confused 75% of viewers. But more importantly, their inclusion would have ruined Wanda and Vision's story - ruin is a strong word, but think about it. If Fake Pietro revealed himself as the X-Men Pietro, the entire episode would have lost track. It would cease to be Wanda and Vision's story and become that show that introduces the X-Men.

I think too many people are judging this finale on fan theories and speculation when Marvel's top priority wasn't setting up the Multiverse, it was telling Wanda and Vision's story. Not everything exists only to build to the next climactic event. We have to set out expectations based on what Marvel is doing, not what they are not doing.

Yup, Mephisto would've been a cool option, but what they actually did was something a lot better and more meaningful!

I have decided to start speculating that Mephisto and Reed Richards are gonna be in every Marvel thing from now on.

Falcon's pet drone, Red Wing, is Mephisto. Because Red Wing...Red...Fire....Hell...Mephisto!

Any major twists in the final episode would have ultimately made what was a story about Wanda, into something that wasn’t about her. This show was a character study first, a superhero show second and X-Men or Mephisto or anything else would have ultimately taken away from that in the worst way.

Fully agree! Only thing I would say is that they should've revealed that Ralph/Pietro twist before the finale. So people who were speculating wouldn't be carrying on into the last minute expecting him to show up again or there to be more.

Something about it did feel a bit anti-climatic, again I wasn't someone who needed a Dr. Strange cameo or even Magneto, however a confirmation that Pietro was taken from another timeline and 'possessed' by Agnes would have set up the multiverse really well. If Pietro wasn't in the movie the story would have played out pretty much the same so to me that is the one thing that leaves a sour taste in my mouth in an otherwise very creative show. It took two characters I was meh about and made me appreciate them much more

If you search "Magic Kingdom Poop" on YouTube I am currently the 4th result. So, I've accomplished all my goals in life lol

So I think More Pooh Talk is in a similar boat.

Not only is singles awareness day the first link when searching, but it's the 4th result, and Google even suggests a different name; more poop talk.
