IM IN LOVE!

I really like it. I think the thing that would make me LOVE it though is the music and the (still great) IP choices. The finale theme should have been the main theme and honestly, I think that Moana and Coco really stick out as odd inclusions. Like I understand why they're included, but they just feel thematically odd to me. And that Maui costume is awful. I'd have really loved to see Beauty and the Beast done similar to the Coco float and I think Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, and Pinocchio would have rounded out the parade far better than Moana and Coco did. Overall, it's an 8/10.

TL;DR: According to this article, a rumor is spreading around that, as part of the EPCOT overhaul, the Muppets may be taking over the Imagination Pavilion. If this happens, then the Imagination Institute will turn into Muppet Labs. As for rides, well, the Muppets will clearly be the stars of an overhauled version of the ride--a ride in which it's revealed that Figment is a Muppet--and the Magic Eye Theater will serve as the new home of Muppet*Vision 3D.

If you've been reading my posts, I'm excited for the EPCOT overhaul. I don't care if more IPs are involved, at least they're finally working to make EPCOT better. And this rumor may only spark my excitement further. I seriously hope this happens. Not only will this give us more Muppets representation in the parks, but it will also ensure that Muppet*Vision 3D, Jim Henson's final Muppets project, will continue delighting guests and it means that we can finally say good riddance to that pathetic excuse for a revamp that is Journey Into Imagination with Figment. Plus, we'll finally be getting a Muppets ride in a Disney park (which is something many have been waiting for ever since the kibosh was put on The Great Muppet Movie Ride)! The rumor has always persisted that DHS' Galaxy's Edge will expand so that way, Star Tours can be part of it, and this rumor is only giving the former more credence.

What do you guys think? Do you think the Muppets could do justice to the Imagination Pavilion's legacy? Hey, at least they can't do any worse than what currently sits within those pyramids...

Since I've pretty much thrown my hand up with Epcot, I don't hate it. If nothing else it saves MV3D. Hopefully they would do something interesting with the attraction instead of just retooling what's there.

Don't see them using that space in HS to expand SWGE when they've still got a TS restaurant pad ready for building and a spot for a 3rd attraction in the land. Maybe they take the ST and Muppets space to put an Indy ride/area to go with the show. Though not sure how that'd vibe with grand ave. Maybe something that holds 2 smaller flat rides to offset all the Es the park has now

So anyone mind if I random rage about a 12 year old documentary I had to watch for sociology? No? Good.

How dare that old, bearded creep try and argue that there's any remotely close causation with no data to back it up that medication-assisted births are a reason why mental illness and ASD diagnoses are up when actual data shows that they're up because they've become better defined and we simply understand how to spot them better. I'm genuinely angry about this.

Yes
I could take the next few hours before heading to bed and be responsible and make the comic for Stanza 8 or make the next few postcards and Small Worlds. OOORRRR I could play the remastered version of Final Fantasy X while watching this new show Dispatches from Elsewhere.

Spoiler Alert: Gonna do the second one.

It’s so much better in person
It was really fun, and a great transition from preshow to ride. Interesting to see how it works in Disneyland’s Toontown.

Some of my favorite scenes from the ride where Daisy’s dance studio I was laughing uncontrollably when it transitioned from waltz to congo, and the jungle to underwater room transition that blew my mind away.

The animatronics from the side for Mickey and Minnie were something else. I said wow but not in the good way 😅

Also loved the little details like Daisy drinking a bottle of pond water clever humour in small places.

The AA's from the side work a lot better in person. The final 2 I didn't even realize were from the side till I saw a video

Chili's

I wish this was in addition to the Great Movie Ride - but this park has got some heavy hitter attractions now

It used to be the 1-2 punch of Tower and RnRC - but now add in Rise (which is the best attraction I've experienced since '06 Everest) and Runaway Railway you've got 4 top 'must-do' attractions. Cycle in Toy Story Land and Smugglers Run as solid B+/A- attractions, revamp some of the shows, balance out the park with a few B/C attractions...and this would be a very strong park.

Big news! Remember how two years ago, Netflix announced that they would be doing animated versions of Roald Dahl's stories? Well, today, it was confirmed that Taika Waititi (he who made the Thor series good again, and he who gave the world Jojo Rabbit) will be helming the animated version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as well as creating an original series about the Oompa-Loompas. If you remember my post about a potential movie based on the 2013 musical, you know that I've always believed that this story would be absolutely incredible to see in animation, and with a mind like Taika's, I think we are in for one wild ride. Remember, this is the guy who deliberately parodied the 1971 version's infamous tunnel sequence in Thor: Ragnarok. Also, I really hope that in addition to writing and directing, he also gives Wonka his voice. He'd be perfect in that role!
