This was one of my favorite projects and one of the most memorable projects for me of the season. It honestly was a big influence on the time travel theme for Act 3 in the One Little Spark Competition.

I got two fun facts! We were torn between working on a Weather Pavilion for Future World and a Space Pavilion. In the middle of the night after being up late studying while half asleep, suggested combining the two into one Sky Pavilion (Which is the plan we went with). Here's the thing. I was so sleepy when I had/posted that idea that when I woke up I had absolutely ZERO memory of the though or writing it. None whatsoever lol.

And for Nimbus, I tried to study about the 80s ugly cute trend. You can see it in Figment and a lot of cartoons from the time (the fly from Rescue Rangers was my main example). The original version leaned into that aesthetic a bit more. But the team talked about it and we decided on something that better blended that 80s style with more modern ideas to make something that looked a bit nicer over all.

Here is his original design! (Just a picture of the sketch, not cleaned up or anything. So, the colors are pretty washed out)

Also, in every version of Nimbus, my favorite little touch is that his nose is a cloud!

Haha I remember that! I loved the original design for Nimbus, he's so cute! One of my favorite parts of that projects was making an original loop for the area. I highlighted the loop with one of my favoriete songs - Towards the Splendid City - a great song to listen to if you're studying or something.
