There's too many names over there lol -- so the original DVC building with the train room. Nice! Have you ever been there?
No! We’ve never stayed at any of the Wildneress properties. We typically stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I’m very excited!
So jealous!! It'll be such a fun time then! Especially if TSL is open!
I really hope it is :D

What do you guys think of this? I already put my 2 cents about this in the comments.
I'd take it with a grain of salt, for instance not sure how Figment becomes a central icon from the park when he is removed from his signature attraction and shares a pavilion with an IP. Maybe the guy's notes are a bit off, I'll have to listen to the podcast.

I'm not as grain of salty for this news yet. Some of it marni already said or can be sort of seen in concept art. And it wouldn't be so surprising figment will stay as a mascot...but no longer have a major ride. Disney loves their ips too much.
But the marvel news, yeah not happening until universal drops everything.

I agree. I’ll defintely have to check out the podcast as it doesn’t add up to me to push all this figment stuff to then push him to just a 4D film...

I don't know. A good 4-D film might be better than a stinky ride like we have now. It's probably the least popular ride in Epcot. Maybe the Mexico boat ride beats it for last place.

I would say my least favorite ride at Epcot is Mission: SPACE - it got old very fast for me and now is only a 10-15 mins wait. For what used to be in my mind an E-ticket. The next would be Journey to Imagination mostly because of the lost potential. A Figment interactive trackless ride could be very neat, save Inside Out for WoL.

@TheOriginalTiki while listening to the podcast I heard you say you were looking forward to the Country Bears but not as interested in the Haunted Mansion and Thunder Mountain because you've been on those. Thunder Mountain I can understand...but do yourself a favor and try to find time for the Haunted Mansion

It is much better than Disneyland's version in my opinion...more scenes, better effects, and a better facade/queue build-up. Definitely check that out!

Journey Into Imagination > The Seas w/ Nemo and Friends
I agree. But Nemo at least fills most if not all it's sea shells. I can't even remember the last time I rode figment with more than half the train filled. I love figment still, but it's not popular. And not anywhere near as good an attraction as it could be. If it is well done, I think a 4D film could be an improvement. If for no other reason than popularity. It would be nice to see Figment have an attraction the general public likes to go on again.

I love the boat ride! If folks who are of age don't like it -- try visiting the Margarita bar beforehand...makes the ride much more enjoyable:hilarious:
Love the boat ride! I think it's one of the most underrated rides in all of Disney. It also is the only ride in Epcot to not be deamed worthy of fast pass. It was listed under "entertainment" instead of "attractions" on the app for a while too.

I think the ideas sound plausible. Like some have said, don't know about the Marvel stuff due to contracts. However, I hate that there seems to be a cabal of insiders on the news and rumors forums, and any other news source is completely shut down as, "false." Honestly, I started lurking these forums for the News and Rumors, but I found the Spirit lackeys to be ridiculously toxic, so I hardly ever interact over there anymore. Too many Disney Crumudgeons.

Don't worry, we've got fastpasses for Mansion and Space so were definitely doing those two. I've also heard really good things about Splash compared to Disneyland so I'll make a point to get on that. Out of the big Magic Kingdom E Tickets Big Thunder is probably the one that's most skip-worthy in my eyes. Is that accurate?

As far as other Disneyland clones, we'll most likely be skipping the dark rides like Ariel, Pooh, Buzz etc. Most likely Peter Pan as well though I'm more interested in that than the others due to the different loading system. Stuff like Jungle Cruise, Small World and of course the Tiki Room I'm interested for the oddball changes such as Small World's loading area/flooded showbuilding, JC's cave, and Tiki Room's bonkers layout compared to the Disneyland version haha.

It's funny, from what I've heard of the Mansion yes the exterior is way different and it's got remixed/new scenes at the start and end of the ride but the bulk of it is pretty much a clone. I believe @MANEATINGWREATH prefers the Disneyland version simply because you walk through the front door of the actual mansion instead of entering through underground.

Imagineering Question of the Day

If you could design a new resort for Disneyland (perhaps even replacing the planned one) what would you theme it too?

Also - special announcement coming later today regarding Sorcerer's Apprentice! :)
This is a two-step process.

1. Get the Eastern Gatewy built (easier said than done)
2. Use the Toy Story Parking Lot to build a Pixar-themed resort so that Pixar Pier doesn’t have to happen

I would create a hotel reflecting historic Southern Californian culture to serve as a compliment to the Northern Californian arts and crafts style of Grand Californian, something with a mission revival aesthetic reflecting California's Spanish past. Alternately, something to do with S.E.A.

As some here know, if a third park is happening I’d go with DisneySky. (All these proposed ideas I’m actually quietly developing in private as we speak.)
