A little update on myself - one thing that I expected but now am hit in the face with is that medicine is like learning a new language. Every colloquial term has its medical equivalent that you're expected to memorize and use. But mnemonics and associations are how I remember things
So for instance the term hunchback is diagnosed as excessive thoracic kyphosis
