So what’s in Pixar Place now. When I went, the entrance to TSM was still there, but it was under huge renovations. But now is it just empty?
The Pixar place sign/Tsmm entrance sign was removed (I posted a picture in the opening day thread), as well as all the toy decorations. The gift shop, food, and meet and greets are still up and running. It’s pretty much being used for Slinky queue I guess, though hard to tell through the mess!

The rest of DHS is actually very enjoyable at the moment. I was able to walk into ToT, RNRC and Star Tours with no wait.

It’s starting to get crowded though, so we’re heading back to the hote before our Fastpasses/lunch starts at 10:30.

That's awesome. Know you had to get there ridiculously early, but you got them all in and got out before the 4 hr waits. I guess the went ahead and opened earlier than early like pandora?

Yep, we had all 6 rides done at DHS by 8 (scheduled opening time), with everything in TSL done by 7. Getting here early really paid off, as we were always one step ahead of the crowds.

How was TSL?!?
I really loved tsl actually and I was not expecting too. It just had such a great fun visual style to it. The giant fence works so well setting the scale. Slinky dog adds really great kinetics to the land too! Both rides were really fun! Slinky was a great family coaster. I would've liked it to be a bit faster, but it is still pretty fun even not being faster and I get it is meant as a real young skewing family Coaster. Aliean Saucers was rather rough. Still fun. But rather rough. Hoping that's just kinks being worked out and not how it will always be.

Biggest problem though us the lack of shade. Like, no shade anywhere. That's the biggest fault with the land. Also, should've had a carousel or playground or something as an extra small attraction. But lack of shade was main issue.

I had low expectations going in and they were quickly exceeded. Slinky was incredibly charming (somehow it managed to feel both contained and spread out at the same time) despite its large footprint. The second launch is actually more intense than it appears in videos (still not RnRC, of course) and there is considerable airtime if you sit in the back row like we did. Swirling Saucers was ~meh~ in my opinion, but I was already expecting that. TSM was great as usual, and I loved the details in the new section of queue.

My only complaint was the lack of shade. Boy, was it hot yesterday (especially with the Florida humidity).

I just wish they wouldve taken this opportunity to roll out new vids for MM. Im not super keen on the land, but will reserve judgement till I see it (missed by 5 stinking days) but if they'd updated those I would be a little happier with the land even though it still lacks shade, an indoor eating area, etc. That seems it would have been one of the easier additions since the Ride movement isn't dependent on the screen. Maybe with TS4 they'll do it. I think if I'm there anytime between March-October I will be going at night. Looks like it's that much better at night anyway.

Glad you guys had a good time!
