Does anyone have any info on how TSL opening day's gonna work? I'm seriously contemplating going to DHS that day just to be able to experience the opening of a new land (this would move DAK earlier in the week and we'd have to scratch Volcano Bay). I've never done anything remotely similar to attending an opening day, so any tips? What time do y'all think I should arrive? We're staying at the Swan, so it shouldn't be too difficult to get over there extra early. Any experiences with Pandora's opening day that may be helpful?

Also, can we assume that Fastpasses will be open starting Day 1 or will they not be available quite yet?

Honest there has been no information.. Apparently someone saw the Fast Passes for the new ride but couldn't book them today. But since your staying at the Swan you should be able to book FP for Toy Story 60 or 90 days out. Idk how busy it will be thought, I can only speak for Cast and AP previews.

I saw Fastpasses are becoming available and all three TSL FP’s are Tier 1 so you’ll only be able to book 1 of them.

I saw that as well. I'd probably just book a FP Slinky, Rope Drop Swirling Saucers/TSMM and use our other FP's for RnRC and ToT.

That’s most likely the ideal way to do it. The only thing different with TSM is the queue so you’d want a bit of a line there’s anyways to get the new feel.

Plus, I figured TSMM is in the air conditioning. I'd rather wait a long line in that then in the sweltering summer heat for Slinky.

I hate to break it too you, but it does look like part of the new queue for TSMM is outdoors. I don't know how much though..

I think the entrance will be covered and briefly outdoors -- the exit though is a long outdoor path
