Right, thanks spacemt. Main Imagineering Question of the Day: If you could rebuild one of the three scrapped Walt Disney World resorts (Asian, Persian, and Venetian) would you revive and why?
Persian for being the most unique however I would probably go D) none of the above, and instead bring back the Mediterannean Resort which was supposed to have Greek influence...If it still stood today I really think a Greek Resort would go nicely along the Seven Seas Lagoon and in a prime location. However, the land would be too costly to build on.

I would say no to the Venetian because of Las Vegas and also World Showcase. Asian is also too broad I feel (and has a land in Animal Kingdom along with multiple World Showcase Pavilions.

I was going to consider adding the Mediterranean Resort but I thought it was redundant because it was what the Venetian evolved into. But I’ll add it.

Why would you bring back something that still exist?
It doesn't exist in public hotel form. ;)
It used to though.

I would do the venetian because it is the prettiest and in today's culture, it would probably be the one that raises the least eyebrows.
My alternate answer would be the original E.P.C.O.T., though that is a city, not a hotel.

Has anyone seen this before/know if this was a real proposal? Omnimover ride for the Japan Pavilion @Voxel ?

There have been a few ride proposals for Japan including Mount Fuji, Godzilla, bullet train and a combination of both. I thought I heard rumors of a Omni once, however that was years ago and honestly this artwork and stylization is too new and modern Tokyo. And almost way to stereotypie for something Epcot would do. It looks like they are showing Ginza which is a famous nightlife area plus they are showing the branding of a few major companies that I know are not related such a as JAL (japan airline) and Yashica (a camera brand). So unless they were looking for multiple sponsors , it’s just very not Epcot...

Okay so color me surprised. I found a bit of info. It appears to be a concept art by the famous and legendary Collins Campbell done in the 1980s. I don’t have a year but mostly done after Epcot Opened or close to opening when more rides were needed. As far as I can tell this never made it past the concept/proposal phase. Mt fuji and the bullet train were much closer to reaitity because there were draft blueprints and concept art of stations just not two scenes. I could only find two images of the Japan Omni. It looks like it might have been a second ride idea to go into Mt. Fuji. I’ll keep digging in it.
