From what I read, an attraction is quite unlikely.

Oh, and answering the QoD: Spain (with some Gaudi and Calatrava)
It’s interesting. Spain was the most likely candidate for being the 12th country. Especially with the Disney film Gigantic which was set in Spain.

@Voxel would know this more than anyone else here, but from what I heard, when Gigantic was cancelled it hurt Spain’s chance of being added. Is there any truth to that?

To me that’d make sense as more and more IP’s get added to EPCOT.

I really don't think IP adds much in choosing to build a country. It must have more to do with sponsorship.

Main Imagineering Question of the Day: What scrapped country that was planned for World Showcase would you like to see come back to Epcot and why?
Late but...

Never officially announced, but I also really want Greece and Korea pavilions to show up someday.

12 days until my very first Walt Disney World trip. I'm going absolutely CRAZY with anticipation. Here's our full itinerary as it currently stands.

Monday 2/26 - Check in to Port Orleans Riverside, possibly take the Minnie Van to Polynesian for drinks at Trader Sam's
Tuesday 2/27 - Day time in Magic Kingdom (Fastpasses for Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train) followed by taking the monorail into Epcot for EMH. Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern
Wednesday 2/28 - Morning at Animal Kingdom (Fastpasses for River Journey, Dinosaur, and Everest), evening at Epcot. Dinner at Coral Reef
Thursday 3/1 - Mostly Animal Kingdom (Fastpasses for River Journey, Safari, and Kali) until After Hours event at the Magic Kingdom after closing (the single most exciting part of the trip for me! Saw video of the crowd levels a couple days ago and had to spring for it)
Friday 3/2 - Blizzard Beach, Winter Summerland, Disney Springs, dinner at The Boathouse
Saturday 3/3 - Universal Studios Florida
Sunday 3/4 - Islands of Adventure
Monday 3/5 - Hollywood Studios in the day until our Frozen Fastpasses at 2PM. Epcot for the rest of the night to close out the trip. Dinner at Napolini. Most likely will make time for Illuminations as the grand finale. In addition to Frozen we also have Fastpasses for Journey into Imagination and Spaceship Earth which I doubt we'll need but I put them on there as filler, haha.

I was really worried about not getting enough time in at Magic Kingdom when the only time we had scheduled to go was the first day, but the After Hours event is a HUGE sigh of relief in that department. Slightly concerned about saving Studios for last but really the only things I need to see are Tower and Rock N' which we'll hit at rope drop, and Indy and MuppetVision if our schedule allows.

From my understanding Spain has been a tricky subject, originally to be built a few years after the opening of Epcot before Economic issues slowed down growth in the 80s, esp on the World Market.
As for Gigantic effecting a new push for Spain, I can't say for certain but I would lean towards having no effect. Spain has been in a state of Economic Chaos since 2008 and political turmoil shortly afterwards. So dealing with a government and sponsorship has really been out of the question for Disney on that front. It's a country that has large issues than a themed section of Epcot. If Spain comes to Epcot, Disney will be fronting the bill every step of the way.

Sounds like a great trip... and Great Fastpasses! :D Have an awesome time! - but if you go to Trader Sams get an appetizer as well - you won't be sorry!

Also don't forget if the lines get to long Everest, Test Track, and Rockin' all have single rider lines. It really can be the different between waiting over an hour or not :bookworm: There originally was a single rider in place for Flight of Passage, I don't know if they'll ever implement it though.

If your emphasis is on Epcot and DAK then I think After Hours will be fine at the MK. Country Bear Jamboree I believe is open during AH, so that might be a time to go see that since I think that was one of your bucket list items. Probably will be able to get on without a wait.

Honestly Rockin can be hit or miss for Single Rider, I have got in at the same time my parents go into a standard line. It took me another 20 minutes after their ride through.

Flight of Passage is worth the wait, I've probably been on it a half a dozen times and I always walk away with the same sense of AWE and AMAZEMENT.

Everyone that I know who has done after hours loved it!

Apparently they have trouble getting crowds out of the park in general (Not really the rides, just walking around), but the last time I personally went to MK a few hours before the event, Pirates was already down to 15 minutes, Mansion 30, and Peter Pan 45.

I'll agree - wait for Flight of Passage.

I know people that won't wait for Indiana Jones Adventure... But they'll wait 2 hours for Flight of Passage because it's that good.

Though we went on Peter Pan with a 5 minute wait and no fastpass in January...after having waited 10 minutes for Mine Train with no fastpass...

Thanks to the much too long Happily Ever After!:p

Peter Pan has been uncharacteristically easy to get last minute fast passes for lately.

Looking forward to the 2+ hours waits for Slinky Dog Dash lol
Yep I'm riding this for Previews and that's it.
