I know the feeling.. My dream school was UVA but too afraid to apply because of fear of rejection and it was out of state. I actually turned down UNC (would could have been friends, haha). I liked UNC better than Duke on the tour. UNC heavily favored in-state though, so even though Duke had the higher SAT range and gpa, I probably would have had a better shot there
Duke had Harry Potter nights though....and a virtual reality room. All things that are relevant to your education
GA Tech is great though! One of my cousins went there, it's a good school!
You definitely have the big college vibe at those two schools...I wanted something a little closer to home...and also applying ED helped out with aid money...which was also a selling point
