I'm going to post photos and a full trip report in a couple days, but suffice to say Sunday was probably the single greatest day of my life. Got to hit up Hyperspace twice (AMAZING overlay that totally surpassed my expectations!) Racers once in the day and once at night, saw all the refurbished stuff since I've been there, had a Bengal Barbecue dinner at the Tiki Room with MAYNARD hosting and got a photo with him afterwards. Spent 45 minutes just appreciating Main Street after midnight. The day was, in a word, perfect. Not too crowded, great weather, it was the opposite of Murphy's Law. Everything that possibly could have went right, went right...with the possible exceptions of Little Mermaid being broken down and the explosion not working on Big Thunder...but I can live with that!

Anyways, @monkey92514 and I proudly present this bit of comic absurdity!

Maynard?! I hope you're not referring to this Maynard.

No, THIS Maynard...

He's worked at the park for over 35 years and is by far one of the most beloved cast members by the locals and tourists a like. He's semi-retired now and only comes and works the Tiki Room a couple nights out of the month, so seeing him was DEFINITELY a rare treat :) He does what essentially amounts to a five minute stand up comedy routine before the show that always gets a big applause before he even wakes up Jose. I have fond memories of him coaching people to sing like the birdies during a trip when I was twelve (the same trip that I did my famous Tiki Room marathon where I saw the show 12 times in a row!)

The best part was at the end of the day he ran into Monkey and I at Coke Corner as he was leaving the park and took the time to talk to us for a couple minutes. We joked that the tip of his umbrella should have a Jose head on it in the style of the Mary Poppins umbrella.

Glad you had a good time!

I think your new saying should be...I found an acorn tree!;)

Episode 10 Redemption Duel
Circus Start-Over

Our voted out castaways have made it to their final shot at Redemption... 1 will be victorious and reenter the game to join @IDInstitute, @Flippin'Flounder, @TheOriginalTiki and @Matt7187 in a new final 5. The other two will be sent home...

Introducing the players of this special, week-long Redemption Duel:
@spacemt354
@DSquared

and @MonorailRed, voted out at the last Imagineer's Council.

Storybook Circus is considered by many Disney guests and fans alike as a waste of valuable space. Showcasing just 2 C-Ticket attractions, a meet and greet and a play area, Storybook Circus has little to brag about.

For this challenge, our three castaways must create a detailed and unique replacement for Storybook Circus at the Magic Kingdom. You must create something entirely new, and it must be free of non-Disney animation IPs. This means no Pixar, Marvel, etc. Your replacement may also completely remove all attractions (you may relocate any attractions that you wish to elsewhere in the park) OR re-theme current attractions to fit a new theme. However, you may only keep 1 attraction should you choose to do so and you must add 2 attractions. 1 of these attractions must be a new ride.

Episode 10 Redemption Duel is due Friday, March 25th at 7:00 PM EST. You may use no more than 15 images and must have at least 5 sentences.

Imagineers Ready? GO!

Just a little spectator side note, but wouldn't it make more sense and be less time consuming for the Immunity Challenge and Redemption Duel to be at the same time?

Exactly. Whoever wins this duel jumps right into competing in the immunity challenge...hence the duel needs to be done before we get to the immunity!

Definitely looking forward to the results of the duel. RI has been a bit hit or miss in terms of activity this season, but it;ll all be worth it for this final epic duel between arguably the three biggest characters of the whole season! :D

I'm going to have to resign from the competition.

I've got a lot of things on my plate ahead and I just don't have the energy to put into this comp as I used to. I'll still be around, but school/work has drained my stamina and I can't jeopardize school for this.

Thanks for having me and good luck to DSquared and Red in the duel!

Sad to see you go.. I figured you could've won the whole thing. :(

Hope you do well in school! :p

Good luck on school space :)
