We know that there are seven wonders of the world. Actually, if you look it up, there are seven wonders of the ancient world, modern world, underwater world, etc. etc.

What about the other world? DisneyWorld?

It can be different ones for everybody, but think about it. What 7 things would YOU consider to be the Seven wonders of the World-DisneyWorld????

Give us your 7 and explain why you think they are.

Interesting thought. I'd say the top three are easy, after that it gets a bit harder. I've tried for a list of important landmarks and feats of engineering together much like the original seven wonders. Here's my list:

Cinderella Castle - Essentially the icon of Disney.
Spaceship Earth - Great ride (even in current form) and quite sight.
Tree of Life - A work of art with all the animals included in its surface.
Tower of Terror - Highest building on property, and one of the best rides and impressive theming.
Contemporary Resort - Probably the most iconic resort on property, at least the A-frame tower is.
Monorail - What is WDW without the Monorail?
Utilidors - The unseen but all important inner workings of the Magic Kingdom.

:)

Hmmm...alright. In no particular order:

Cinderella Castle - company icon; no explanation needed.
Spaceship Earth - park icon; world's only freestanding geodesic sphere
Tree of Life - park icon; a true work of art as well
Space Mountain - world's first computer controlled roller coaster
Monorail Transportation System - most used monorail system in the world
The Utilidors - largest utilidor system in the world; efficient "backstage" area
Expedition Everest - incredibly detailed experience (includes Serka Zong)

Cinderela Castle
Spaceship Earth
Tree of Life
Monorail
Utilidors
WDW Transportation system- although many complain about it, its quite cool how many thousads use it everyday and it runs fairly smoothly.
Toy Story Mania- Truly a unique attraction.

Mine would be:

Cinderella Castle - Like others its THE ICON of Disney (not just WDW)

Wilderness Lodge Lobby - This is the most breathtaking lobby on property.

The Grand Canyon Concourse - Its size is awe inspiring every time.

The American Adventure Show - Bar none the best use of Animatronics.

The WDW Physical Plant - It truly is a self sufficient "country" that needs very little support from the outside world that isn't settled through commerce.

The Kilimanjaro Safari - More in depth and convincing than any other "zoo"

The Disney Mountain Chain - More diversity and creativity in these rides than most other theme parks combined

Hmmm...tough topic. It is kind of hard to choose between iconic value and those that have stood the test of time. Here's my best shot at it.

Cinderella Castle...embodies all that is WDW
Spaceship Earth...everyone associates "the golf ball" with Epcot
Space Mountain...cutting edge in its' day and still holds up to new rides
Splash Mountain...One of the finest theming IMO within the world
Tree of Life...Iconic to AK and so well thought out
POTC... no matter how many times I ride it works on so many levels
Horizons... One of my alltime favorites. I don't know of any other retired attraction that so many folks still pine away for.

An honorable mention to Carousel of Progress...A must see for me everytime just because it entertains and was so very near and dear to Walts heart.

Should be interesting to see who can come up with one for the half day park (DHS)

GOOD THREAD. I loved voting for the New 7 Wonders when they were doing that contest... they seriously need to consider making a WDW version.

Cinderella Castle - global icon, symbol of magic and fantasy for children and children at heart, masterful collaboration of John Hench and Herb Ryman

Spaceship Earth - Buckminster Fuller's dream of an architectural "impossibility" brought to life in the form of a geodesic sphere, with one of the most sophisticated attractions ever created contained entirely within it. Notable for having possibly one of the most famous "textures" in all of architecture

Tree of Life - the best and most literal incarnation of the concept of the World Tree/Tree of Life, or a tree supporting the heavens. Very well crafted with many subtleties and interesting sculptural form... perfect icon for DAK

Haunted Mansion - WDI's most groundbreaking and well-themed attraction ever, IMO. Took the concept created for Disneyland's already masterful version of the attraction, and perfected it

Space Mountain - another architectural feat, once again brought forth by the great John Hench. An icon of the future from the 1970s that will doubtfully ever be dated.

Wilderness Lodge - Disney's finest themed hotel, from the grandeur of its lobby to the the beauty of its grounds and surrounding nature.

Monorail System - a sleek and innovative form of transportation, Walt Disney's dream of a large-scale monorail system brought to life, and possibly Disney only/most prominent moving icon

I like how people mentioned the Grand Canyon Concourse, even though that &@#% gift shop clogging up the space completely ruins it. If I could have expanded my list, I would have added all of Hollywood Boulevard, Illuminations ROE, the Tower of Terror, and the Avenue of the Planets.

The Monorail – a very practical mass transportation system, if only they would expand it.
Typhoon Lagoon Wave Pool - I believe it’s the second largest in the world.
Utilidors – an underground “city” that houses electrical operations, waste removal, food services, and cast member services.
Kilimanjaro Safari – I’ve been on a safari in Kenya and it is remarkable how Disney recreated the experience.
Hall of the Presidents - all 43 presidents there to see, although it the voice of character actor Royal Dano, that is what I imagine Lincoln would sound like and Disney gets the leader of the free world to welcome you.
Spaceship Earth – an 18 story geodesic sphere supported on legs designed to funnel water into a lagoon.
The Sorcerer’s hat at DHS – It’s a wonder why the Disney Company thought they need it?

Cinderella Castle - The first thing you see at the end of Main Street; The symbol Of Disney.

The Haunted Mansion- Sensory feast and amazing use of lights, shadows, old theater tricks and animatronics

Tree of Life - amazing piece of art that also doubles as a theater

Space Mountain - world's first computer controlled roller coaster

Monorail Transportation System - A feature that has been a staple of WDW since its opening.

The Utilidors - the secret labyrinth where the magic happens unseen

DACS - all the sounds of the attractions controlled in one huge room.

Some really good ideas here.
In no particular order:

Utilidors
Tree of Life

Two that I am surprised haven't been mentioned
The man made Seven Seas Lagoon
The Seas which for 19 years had the largest saltwater tank in the world.

I actually considered the Seven Seas Lagoon, but elected to move away from natural type formations and go with feats of engineering/design/art as the original seven wonders were.

1) Cinderella Castle

2) Spaceship Earth

3) Wilderness Lodge (Both the Lobby and the Courtyard in the back boast dramatic views and elaborate theming. The Courtyard really does remove any elements of outdoor Florida and transports you to a scene from the Northwest US).

4) The Contemporary's A-Frame Tower

5) Monorail

6) Space Mountain

7) Tree of Life

My fiancee agrees with this except substitute The Earful Tower instead of the Wilderness Lodge. The more we talked about it, I have to agree with her.
