I'll never forget the first time I saw the hotels in Vegas.New York,New York. Luxor, Bellagio etc..Awesome,jaw dropping. But what resort at WDW looks like the real deal. The first time you look at it you realise that your now at Disney. Having seen most of them, from the outside anyway.I love the look of The Swan & Dolphin.Ive never been inside but from outside they look awesome. So what are your first impressions of that Disney dream resort.?

I felt like that when I saw the Grand Floridian. I never really liked the look of Contemporary and Poly, so the only other monorail resort is the GF. And its the majesty of those mono resorts that you see and think, wow, Disney Resort Dreams for sure!!!

Well, at the age of five, I knew only the All Star Resorts. (We still go only to those resorts) So, at the time, that was my dream resort lol.
Now that I'm nearly an adult, I think the Wilderness Lodge is my "Disney Dream Resort"
My mom and I also went snooping aroung the Swan and Dolphin one, and well, it's too gorgeous for words!

The Polynesian was our dream resort. The lobby truly is breathtaking as well as the grounds.:)
The Wilderness Lodge is definitely jaw-dropping and memorable!:)
The size of Caribbean Beach can be overwhelming, especially since the check-in building is separate from the restaurants, rooms, and pool area.
I never felt my heart pump fast when we got to PORS, but when we walked the grounds, it is truly beautiful!:)
None of the value resorts are anywhere close to being awe-inspiring!:(

My dream resort is Boardwalk or Beach Club. I'd love to give one of those a try. But POR will always hold a special place in my heart.

IMO, all of the resorts make me feel like I'm at Disney, but I agree with whoever said the values don't make your jaw drop. They are cute, but nothing that makes you feel like you've been transferred into another place.

I really can't stand the Contemporary, but it is the one that seemed the coolest to me many years ago and is still the most Disney to me from the outside. BLT has ruined that some.

I had my most Disney feel at Beach Club, but that was with the full balcony and water view. Second was the Poly.

I think this probably differs from person to person, though.

I know this is cheating, but my jaw drops everytime I walk into a resort for the first time. Call me crazy, but all of them have overwhelming features of some sort. The smells , architecture, the ambience. Having said that, the grand Floridian resort was stunning walking in from the monorail for the firet time.

I have to say to say the Poly. Its grounds are stunning, the look of GCH and longhouses, volcano pool. Always listening to the BGM at night with the tiki torches. Plus I get to look at two of my other dream resorts, Contemporary and Grand Floridian.
All resorts are pretty well themed though, and we are really excited for POR in the royal rooms this fall. Those mansions look awsesome!

Well I can say that as a young boy..seeing the Contempory Resort fod the first time..and watching the Monorail pass thgrough it...knowing I was staying there...was magical...Poly wasnt even open yet..although we stayed there the next trip.

Boardwalk is our favorite resort now, but Ill never forget the Contempory and that first magical moment!
