The Red Button Option

That red option button may have to be pushed.

And not just parks. Virtually all of their operating divisions - with the exception of Disney+, which was not expected to be profitable for years - is unusually affected by the extended downturn. Cruise lines, movie theater revenue, Disney Store sales - all bleak in the near future if not forever (in the case of movie theaters and retail shopping).

Well i mean Disney can try to release Mulan in staggered dates, one month in Europe the next in the US just like Tenet is doing but damn at the end of the day that might skyrocket piracy and forget China since it’s a Huge Gamble at this point. Everything’s screwed up.

Not 96$ bucks haha more like 175 per plush or 450 for the whole set lololol seriously, I’m already seeing sit on the merch since only like a couple of those got sold since they put them up for sale haha

The Disney Springs rumors are troubling too. Let’s not forget it is a hybrid shopping center and bar district dependent heavily on traffic from people staying at the resorts. Take away the resort traffic, and it’s basically a very expensive shopping mall. How are your shopping malls (or local bars, for that matter) doing right now?

Pop and mom stores in mall locations are going dark, franchises are barely keeping up, in the action figure world Toys are delayed massively for like 3-4 months. Lego is having massive issues with their factories because the ones in Mexico are closed, everything’s cutthroat in the retail business, once an item sells, that’s it, wait for restock 4-6 months later seriously.

As an industry, retail has been in decline long before Covid. The exception applies to value brands like Ross, Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, etc.

When I was there recently, and this was prior to the parks opening, there were either two hour waits for restaurants or they stopped taking reservations for the night.

So the locals are clearly contributing.
Well that does make some sense...and everything is restricted anyway at hotels. So it’s probably a combination of both.

And frankly - the food at the hotels just isn’t that good anymore.
