The problem with quick service food...

I think their QS salads and sandwiches are quite good in quality and price. Of course, where I live in Hawaii, prices are high for food, especially when eating out, so we are not shocked at WDW at all! Since the portions are pretty large, we often split an order and find it plenty, especially if we have an ADR later on. It's QS- not gourmet.

All true, but we have yet to be dissatisfied.

Went to BOG lunch. No trouble getting a table. We all had sandwiches. We were unanimously unimpressed. You can get two outstanding sandwiches (AAA discount!) from Earl at those prices.
We have been saying for a while that BOG is a bit overrated. The fact that you were "unanimously unimpressed" does not surprise me.

I have more of an issue with the price vs. quality of food than I do with the quantity of food.
$10.99 for 1/2 chicken with beans and cornbread at Flame Tree is maybe a dollar more than what you'd pay for the same thing at Boston Market. Doesn't seem like an unreasonable markup for theme park food at all. Yes, it's more expensive than "real life," but Disney's QS F&B is extremely reasonable compared to other entertainment venues. A bottle of Dasani at WDW is $2.50. That same bottle would be $4 at Fenway Park and probably $5 at a concert.

We say this all the time...people who complain about the cost (and quality) of QS meals at Disney must not go to any other amusement park or sporting event....or movie theater. My husband and daughter went to a minor league ice hockey game a few months ago and paid $17 for a hamburger and french fry combo meal that barely fed our 10 yo. The soda was another $4. A bottle of water was $4.50 and it was a 12 oz bottle. We pay the same type of prices at a local minor league baseball stadium as well. And the nearby amusement park makes *those* prices look good. I'm not saying the QS meals at Disney are inexpensive, but they're certainly not outrageous when compared to similar venues.

People who can't afford it should just stay at home.... it's in line with all places you just listed....

I was underwhelmed by Earl of Sandwich.. It's like a cult restaurant I think.. And calories don't count in Disney world so I use my dining plan and then some. :) fat girl problems!

I'm not complaining about the price.....i'm complaining about the quality of the food for what you pay. That same thing at Boston Market would be much better quality....I assume, as those are scarce here in Houston.

You assume very, very incorrectly. Flame Tree is TheBomb.com.

Flame tree is on par with several sit down BBQ places I have been to.. at a fraction of the price. The few times I have been to a Boston Market, I was underwhelmed with the food.. so I haven't been back.

I found Flame Tree very underwhelming....but like I said....I've never eaten at Boston Market either.

Yep! At my local AA baseball park a Dasani is $3.50!
