To quote Abraham Lincoln: "Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be."
Walt Disney World and Disneyland are loved because they are places where it is easy for anyone to make up their mind to be happy and have a good time regardless of whatever is going on there or in their life. If someone can't be happy there, I suspec they aren't happy anywhere.

I'm sure that there must be a point in that somewhere. However, not worthy of exploring further. In almost anything you do, if you are not at poverty level yourself, the services that you demand are given to you by people that are below poverty level. The people that stock the shelves in your favorite grocery store or operate the registers, keep the floors clean and trash picked up (often left by above poverty level to high up on the chain to care where they throw it). Those that wash your car, mow your lawns, the people that work in your favorite restaurant, the clerks in the stores that you frequent, you name it. Are all burdened by low wages, if that doesn't bother you then there is no reason to bring it up in this thread. One has nothing to do with the enjoyment that we get from the visit. I refuse to feel guilty because they made the decision to work for low wages whether it be because they are not trained in anything else or undereducated. Otherwise, they have choices. Not staying in a low paying job, would be one of those choices.

Sorry, my bad. I didn't realize that grocery chains, lawn care companies, and car washes on the Fortune 500 list.

Do a little research on Disney CM wages before making a post like this, will you?

Not sure what that has to do with anything, but, I promised not to get involved with negative foolishness on this thread anymore, so we will just have to let it go. Have a nice day.

since i havent been - first time will be this september, im going to have to say this forum.
The number of times ive been wondering about something, i just log in here and i can pretty much find the answer in a matter of seconds, if i cant, i ask and i have always gotten helpful tips / pointers and some great advice.
This alone just makes the whole planning a WDW trip so much more fun. I'm getting help from people who are just as into Disney (if not more) than me. I used to think i knew a few things about Disney but i stand corrected.

I love this thread idea!

I love Disney with all my heart. From the food, to the cast members, to the attractions, it truly is a magical bubble that I yearn to constantly return to. Ten years ago, my life was forever changed by going to Disney World. I was mesmerized by the firework shows, the attention to detail, the character interactions, the return to childhood. The real world beats us all up, and Disney is that home away from home that is always calling you back with open arms.

almost everything at MK is high on our "first do" list (with the exception of Stitch's Great Escape") we always try to book our first ADR at either MK or one of the monorail loop resorts. Our resort of choice is POR because of the pool and the boat ride to DD (Disney Springs?) AK is our least favorite park, and usually only dedicate one day for that park. after the safari, Everest and Dinosaur, we end up not doing much more than that.
