*Oz's houseguest answers the door*

Houseguest: "Oz, there's a man at the door for you...he says he's a landlord"

*Oz walks to door*

Me: Hi  *grabs him and pulls him down to join in*

Actually Christianity provides a very poor platform for oppression and killing... people with an agenda for oppression and killing will adopt whatever tool will work for them to control a people to do so. The Christian message is one of tolerance, love and non-violence... in the past, however, this wasn't always the message that was explained to the masses who did not understand latin. When the message started to be delivered in the vernacular, it became increasingly difficult to incite thinking Christians to violence.

Did not stop certain members of the Catholic and Protestant communities in Northern Irleland from killing each other - and both these sides claim to be Christian.

I repeat - only CERTAIN members of these communities. In my own dealings with the Irish I have never met one who was anything but friendly.

Yes I have mates who experienced the legendery Irish hospitality so generous that they were given ktchen sinks paving slabs and the odd bottle of Vin de petroleum.

Only a craic though.

Sadly I do not doubt you. I have only met Irish folk when they are in England. Though I was evacuated from Paddington when the IRA said they had planted a bomb there.... but that's another story.

Note... I did say *thinking* Christians.

Some people, no matter what, seem to go through life in a mindless state that, to me at least, most resembles sleep.

All it would take is for some poor soul to accidentally bump the thread and it may tumble into the abyss. I shudder to think at the possible outcome. . .Oh no, my shuddering has caused the thread to shift, quick - someone grab it before it is too late. . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . .. .
