Trip Report The ONE with the Bowl that was not so Super 🚽 2/5-2/9, 2021*COMPLETED*

HA HA HA!!!
Hello everybody! I returned yesterday from a last minute long weekend to WDW.
How? Who? Why? You ask. Well my Magical friends, here is everything you want to know, and maybe some things, you don’t.

It all began a few weeks ago at work when my bff/boss suggested we go to Disney for his birthday. I took him last year and we had a great time. We looked at dates and flights and room rates and hemmed and hawed for a couple days. We decided we would go President’s weekend. But my kids would be out of school and they would want to go. Then, texting with @Tuvalu she said “you’re going president’s weekend!?!?”

Ok, she didn’t say it like that but that is how I heard it in my mind. I said to my friend, M, “what the heck are we thinking? Let’s go the weekend before.” His sister/business partner/my other boss gave her blessing (then promptly booked a whole week in Florida for herself at the end of the month) and we started looking at rooms.
Pop was cheap with the AP discount so I booked.

We picked out our flights, then added a day and picked out new flights. Friday came, my day off and two weeks before departure and we had decided on everything. All we had to do was book the flights, which were $69 each way. Then I looked again and the flights were down to $49 each way. I texted M, “BOOK BOOK BOOK! This is not a drill!!!”

Then Saturday came and I canceled Pop and booked a studio at Saratoga Springs Resort using my DVC points. Bought M’s park ticket and made park reservations and some ADR’s. I also filled out the Magical Express request form and ordered a couple t-shirts.

13 days to go and we were all set.

Took some notes on your wait time info. Our last day is AK as well so we may follow the same route yall did.

Super jealous yall were in the park the same time as Gronk!! Being from Maine I am a HUGE Pats fan!! My good friend works for the them so I've met Gronk a few times but still. Seeing him in Disney would be so cool!!

Also.... chickie nuggies in a bag... Totally something myself or my sister would do. She actually has a little tin she brings each trip and loads it with like 6-7 cake pops to bring home!! lol

It got up to 88 degrees here yesterday, and we definitely didn’t crank up the fireplace...!!!!!

Dinner seems like the obvious choice but not the entrees. I did not try his burger and he did not try my brisket. Although he did point out that there was brisket in his burger. So maybe. But I don’t think so.

HI!!! I am super behind. Like missed the whole trip report behind but I am catching up!
I wanted to say a few things before I forgot!
1. My Mom also kept the remote in the plastic the whole time. I kept insisting that it did not matter since it was cleaned but she did not care
2. French 75s are my favorite cocktail! My brother in law makes a killer one! We drink them all the time at home! The bar at the Grand Floridian (can't remember the name right now) has a great one!
3. My sister and BIL got food poisoning from the Edison as well! I bet that's what it was! Theirs was a little more delayed in coming on and came on right in the middle of their Victoria and Alberts dinner

Forever and ever and ever. When I was at DS last weekend with my husband we walked by The Edison and I got skeeved out just looking at it.

I've finally settled into my new job and figured out a balance in working remote, so that means I'm back to reading TRs in any free time I found. Somehow that means I completely missed this, so here goes nothing - can't wait to sink in!

-So sorry about you getting sick. We had a stomach bug or possible food poisoning go through our house last week, and it was absolutely awful just getting through a regular day. I couldn't think of a Disney day!
-I loved following along with you and the boys' shenanigans in Epcot. I'm impressed that you got all of that done in half a day there, and all made it back to the hotel in one piece!
-From what I know of you through these boards, and knowing some true FLIDs, I'd say you aren't one! I think you're just a New Yorker who gets annoyed by stupid/rude. (Yes I think there's a difference. Does that make me a FLID? Maybe!)
-The topic of kids losing things. I've read both your and @HouCuseChickie TR's lately, and let's just say my daughter is getting into that phase. And realizing that it's only going to get worse, and I probably have at least 15 more years of it (she's 6 going on 16) makes me want to pull my hair out (what's left of it anyway )
-Also enjoying that I'm in good company catching up with @Rista1313 !

The food poisoning was the worst. The light at the end of the commode was getting to hang out with @Tuvalu !

I tried so hard to find the video of my niece when she was 2 dancing to that to put on here, but no luck finding it! It's playing in my head though!
