ā€œBut Darstarr, youā€™re DVC.ā€
Yes I am DVC and we (I) have made good use out of it this year. However, when I went to book this trip there was nothing available. Nothing!!! OK, nothing in my point range. My boys are big and they hate sharing beds and someone always ends up on the floor. One time my youngest slept on the dining table banquet rather than share the pullout with his brother. Itā€™s vacation, no one should have to sleep on the floor. We didnā€™t have enough points left for a two bedroom so I began looking around for a room. I found a room at Riverside that slept 5 for about $250/night. We have done the 5 in a room thing there when the kids were smaller and it was cramped. I was not looking forward to that. Then passholder discounts came out and I got two rooms (TWO) at the original A.S.S. for less than the one room at Riverside. 4 beds and 2 bathrooms!!! SOLD!!!

Lets get to it!

Day one- November 26th
The day started like every other school day except it was AJā€™s 16th birthday so he opened presents before leaving for school.

I was suppose to work this day but I had worked the previous Friday, which is usually my day off, so my boss told me to take the day off. Yay! More time to clean the house.

The five of us were flying down on jet blue from JFK. Four of us were returning to ISP on Southwest. Ant took the dog to his fatherā€™s then took his car to ISP so it would be there when we landed on the 2nd. (we have a free resident parking sticker).

We debated taking the train to JFK but it was way cheaper to hire a car. The kids got gome from school about 2:15, ā€œthe car is here!ā€
What???
The car wasn't suppose to come until 3:00. Ant was like ā€œlets goā€. I was like ā€œdont rush me because if you rush me and I forget something you will be sorry besides he is 45 minutes early so he can waitā€. And yes, I said it just like that, as one long run on sentencešŸ˜€.
We left at 2:30. I didnt forget a thing.

I feel itā€™s ok to use for a little bit? My husband made a ā€œno items with datesā€ rule when I wouldnā€™t wear a 2014 hoodie when we went in 2016 šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø
Haha. That is kinda how I feel. I bought the bag in February, I think, and got multiple uses out of it, otherwise I never would have bought it.

Forgot to mention when I was waiting in line for the Peoplemover the other day the woman directly in front of me ā€œsort ofā€ looked like you (not really, but enough to make me think of you) .... and would you believe she had a trunk up elephant on her t-shirt?!
NO WAY!!!!
I love that! Thank you for thinking of me.
(But you know, if it was me the people mover would have broken downšŸ˜‰)

Yeses is used most frequently, though yesses is not incorrect. (Yesā€™s would be possessive and wrong.)
You done good! :hilarious:

I think I would have taken the easier way out and said the Ayes have it šŸ˜‰

Funny you should say that as when we got back around we realized that there were no more people behind us ... there had been the start of some sort of electrical problem. While we were still down below I did smell burning rubber, but as we went up the ramp I no longer did. When we got off there was a CM with a fire extinguisher, and the down ramp was closed off. (I donā€™t remember the ride stopping while we were on it, but maybe it did for a minute?)

So...an unofficial poll.
Do I/can I use my 2019 backpack in 2020???
You definitely can use your 2019 backpack in 2020! I've been using my 2008 sling bag almost every trip since I originally bought it! šŸ¤£ šŸ¤£ It's what is now considered "vintage"! šŸ˜‰
I also say yes
My girls have been user their 2007 backpack/bag for years

It was that day, but unless there were flames that occurred while we were on it, it was definitely more of a Ā« move along folks, there is nothing to see here Ā» situation. As I said, I did smell a motor overheating (burning rubber smell) when we were down below, but no longer as we walked up the ramp, and then we didnā€™t notice or smell anything until we got off the ride and saw the CM with the fire extinguisher.

November 30 cont

I made it to Epcot about 11:30 to new security lines. I assumed they were taking people on two sides like always but they were only doing one side which meant I cut some people. When I realized what was going on I apologized and tried to let them all go in front of me but everyone was really chill about the whole thing. I felt like a total dope!

I proceeded to Canada for my first stop. After that humiliation I could really use a beer. But...

The Moose was not loosešŸ‘Ž

Luckily they had icy cold ones next door at the little kiosk.

Fun fact I learned from Butch van Breda Kolff (any basketball fans out there?). Anyhow, according to Butch, it only takes beer 12 minutes to reach optimal drinking temp if placed in an ice bath. Good to know for impromptu gatheringsšŸ˜‰

As the CM was popping the top I looked over and

they were opening. Whatā€™s the big deal you ask? I prefer draft beer but not a big deal. Not even a medium deal. šŸ˜Ž

I wandered into England and asked someone to take my picture because I thought it looked quite pretty back there.

Then I headed to France and got this
4BB8CA7A-C8FA-4097-82AD-3DDA0807536F.jpeg

A Kir Imperial and Bouchee a la Reine according to my receipt. I remember the filling being cold and the puff pastry being stale. The drink was spot on!

I had this little table with a water view all to myself. A lady was digging through her bag looking for something and I motioned for her to use the table.
I got to talking to her parents. They were in from San Francisco. Her husband was originally from Vero Beach so I had to play the 6 degree of separation game with him as my BIL is from there. My BILā€™s father is from there and so are his fatherā€™s 7 brothers. He had to know one of them or their kin.
While we were discussing, his son, about 6, looks at me and says, ā€œI am not from around here, I am from Florida.ā€
šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
Did the kid think he was really in France?
Anyhow, I move onto my sonā€™s roommate, also from Vero, and I am mid sentence and his wife, finally finding what she was looking for in her purse, I guess, says very abruptly, ā€œletā€™s go.ā€ And she turns and walks away. Her husband looks at me sheepishly and said it was nice to meet me. Her parents smile at me and wish me a good day. But seriously lady? We were in the middle of a conversation. I still knew more people from VerošŸ¤Ŗ

Is this Belle?

Of course you can! First it's from Disney, and unlike the bikini bought at the beach when we were teenagers that is never to be worn at home, it is acceptable absolutely anywhere!
And second it's a statement. I was here then and I'm baaaaaccckkk!

Just what the h**l is wrong with people?! grrrrr
Even if you realize you have 5 minutes till your RotR boarding group time is going to expire, you can still say, "oh my god, sorry, so nice chatting with you, have to run"!!!

She certainly didn't have the magic that day! It's so rude when people walk away while you're in mid-sentence about something! My parents used to have a condo on A1A in North Hutchinson Island but they used to always tell people it was Vero Beach since it was a hop, skip and jump away! It looks like a beautiful day in Epcot!

Is a Kir Imperial the same as a Kir Royal? Iā€™ve only ever seen Kir and Kir Royal on drink menus over here.
Well, let me tell you, I do not rememberšŸ˜‚
I love Kir Royals so I am thinking similar.
Let me check the booklet.....

Booklet says sparkling wine and chambord liqueur.
So they are similar. Kir Royals, technically, are made with creme de cassis.
(I usually use Chambord. I will need to adjust what I call itšŸ„‚)

(As she throws out all bikinisšŸ˜‚)
And yes, that lady was so rude.
