Well whenever I am on the omnimover I always wonder what that ladie looks like underneath the hair dryer part.I wonder if she even has a face underneath there and they left it blank or if it is a former animantronic from one of the old disney rides but it just doesn't move anymore. Also I am wondering what were some of the old things you saw along the way when it was called the people mover and the ride first opend.Because I have only ridden it when it was changed to the omni mover and was just wondering what kind of scenes were before the new ones.Going back to one more interesting thing when they finally decide and I hope it wont be for a long time but when they finally tear down the carousel of progress it will be weird going on the omni mover and not seeing the huge building you always pass.Instead it will be a new view of the park or maybe they would still use the carousel of progress just with a new ride inside who knows.

Actually, it is called the Tomorrowland Transit Authority now. Omnimovers are the vehicles used in rides like Haunted Mansion, that move side to side to focus the guests views on just what is in front of them.

(lol, sorry, I guess I have to be all technical when it comes to Disney. You can call it whatever you want. :D )

Opps sorry It can be confusing sometimes but anyways the transit authority is what it is and it is a very fun ride for cooling off and stuff.I wonder one day if they will expand it making it go all around the whole park and letting you get off at diffrent places.Say you wanted to go to frontierland it would take you all the way over there and let you off.But then again that is what the train is for but it would still be pretty cool.

Yes, I think it would be cool to do that at Future World in Epcot (I do think it would fit in better theme wise than having it go around the other lands in the MK). It would really utilize the original intention of the peoplemovers.

As for what you saw on the original ride, I couldnt tell ya! It would be interesting to find out, though.

RobFL, surprised that you don't know. It is, after all, part of the Horizons attraction that was moved to the TTA. There is a full head under the hair dryer. Disney creates everything to the fullest detail, because you never know just when that one curious guest might find a way to peek under it.

What you see along the TTA is basiaclly what you saw before, except in the place of Buzz it was Dreamflight and If You Had Wings, Mission to Mars instead of alien encounter, American Journey's instead of Timekeeper, and the narration was different. The Red Line set was added during the Tomorrowland makeover- it used to be just one big long tunnel, and I think you at one point looked down into the que for both Mission to Mars and American Journey's.

I remember also the speedramp up and down had pictures of transportation means in the current and future times and it also explained how the peoplemover's worked in DL and WDW.

out of curiosity how does the WED WAY PEOPLE MOVER (you can take my wedway from me when you pry it from my cold dead fingers) at DL work the same as WDW w/ magnets for propulsion??
