Hi Folks. Staying on the Christmas theme.Which resort do you think pulls out all the stops at this time of year. One resort that leaves you breathless when you walk into the lobby.Ive seen photos of the gingerbread house at GF,and it looks awesome, but what is your OMG Xmas resort?:)

Boardwalk is very nice, as in the GF. I think the Wilderness Lodge is Great. The large tree in the lobby is fabulous and adds a lot of excitement when checking in and or walking around. Personally i feel more Christmas spirit at WL as opposed to other places.

Prob WL. It just feels like Christmas. The other deluxes are all also well done, but that one just seems right. GF and AKL are probably in close running for second, with the YC, BC and Poly lingering behind. The mods and values are nice, but they don't come close to comparing in terms of a "wow" factor when you walk in the lobby.

I agree the WL feels magical and festive without being tacky and overdone...the theming of the decor fits PERFECT!!! Just wish they would leave it up a few more days....last year I meant to take photos the day after we arrived and POOF it was 90% down the next morning at breakfast. We had fun watching them bring in the big kilim rugs and rearrange some furniture....only the live poinsettas remained for a day or so.

What is it about the Boardwalk that makes several people post that it is very special at Christmas time? We're heading down to Disney next week for our first holiday-time trip, and I definitely have it on our To Do list to see the gingerbread house at the GF, and also the gingerbread carousel at the Beach Club when we go to Cape May for dinner, but I hadn't planned to visit to the Boardwalk. What would I be missing? (As an aside, I don't plan a trip to WL either, but that is because time constraints make us have to limit our itinerary, and having seen the Rockefeller Center Xmas tree in NYC dozens of times in my life, I figured the one at the WL couldn't be even more impressive. Impressive yes, I'm sure, but not more so.)

All the resorts at Christmas are amazing, but definitely GF!!!! The gingerbread house just makes you stand there for a few minutes and say "Wow". I do also love Yacht and Beach club, with the carousel made out of gingerbread, and the boardwalk :D I've always loved that stuff

BW has a chocolate display (I think it's chocolate), a chimney w/Donald as Santa in the past. It's well done and cool to look at, but since BW doesn't have that same grand lobby area as the others, I don't think its got that same pizazz. Same goes for Yacht/Beach. Well done chocolate horses, but just not a WHAM! when you walk in.

Thanks for the explanation. Sounds cool.
