Pre-Trip The OMG are you serious? Pre- Trip Report

[/IMG] Hello to all of my WDW magic friends.

Some of you might remember me from when I attempted to write my first ever trip report back in February. Well a combination of adulting (ugh) and the fact that it was already 6 months past my trip and I had taken zero notes made that trip report become a failure.

Please don't be mad at me. I was VERY disappointed in myself for not finishing but this time I will be prepared and it will all begin with this Pre- Trip Report

In case I am new to many of you my name is Alisa. Born and raised in NYC and now living in New Hampshire with my prince and better half. I am a certified Walt Disney Addict, I have been traveling to the world every year since I was 2. Im the kind of addict who cries at a mention of Spectromagic and when driving under that big beautiful welcome sign. My prince on the other hand went on his first trip last year with my whole family (Thanks Dad). Below is a picture of all of us last August.

That is me and my prince charming on the left, the best boyfriend a girl could ever ask for.

We both work and adult pretty hard sometimes. My prince works on the road so sometimes he is gone for weeks or month at a time. It's really hard spending time apart so when we are together we try to make every second count. Dinners, vacations, road trips you name it. We like to do stuff and make memories together whenever possible.

So fast forward to last week and he was going to be home for a few weeks so we head down to Mexico for an all inclusive much needed vacation. We were having an absolute blast. Swimming, bike rides, ziplining, mayan ruins the works. The photos below pretty much sum up the epic adventure that was unfolding. I know they are non Disney but thought you guys would enjoy. Thats us diving into a prisine hidden cenote. The clearest water I have ever seen in my life.

Anyway the last night rolls around and we're relaxing in the room and my prince hands me a card and says "I don't know how this got into my bag". I open it and there is my favorite Mouse staring back at me. I'm starting to freak out a little bit and when I open it it says i know your birthday is still a ways away but its time for us to start planning our Disney adventure together. I immediately start crying so hard. Not only had he already booked the trip but that also meant that he was going to be home for my birthday (which isn't always the case). I still can't believe he had already planned the whole thing by himself, I thought I was going to have to drag him back to Disney by his beard lol. We will be in the world October 25th - October 30th and are staying at the Coronado Springs. My birthday is October 26th. He said him and my parents went back and forth a lot on whether or not to tell me now or as I was getting on the plane on the 25th but everyone decided I would want to make dining reservations and all that fun stuff and they were right.

So there you have it the extremely long winded version of how this trip came to be. I will be back in a bit with all the specifics.

What a great surprise. Have fun making those dinner ressies.

We vacationed last month during my kids spring break in Turks and Caicos, when we got home I sat the kids down to discuss what to do for my husbands 50th birthday this summer. We came up with WDW, so i booked a trip. When we told my husband where we were going he was thrilled...he LOVE, LOVE, LOVES WDW.

Its been 12 years since we stayed there, so we're really looking forward to it.

You have an awesome time too!

We stayed there last August and it was amazing as always. I feel like it has the most amenities Compared to the rest of the moderate resorts. I like that they serve appetizers at the main pool bar. It's a fun mid day break away from the parks.

Does anyone know what the deal is with the Star Wars fireworks? Are they just for the summer, say it ain't so. I want to make sure I plan accordingly and want to try and book the desert party for my prince. Star Wars is all he talks about and I know he would love having a special area to sit and watch so we don't have to fight with the crowds.

We totally plan on the mid day swim break. I was thrilled when I saw that the pool bar had food and that resort mugs could be filled there. We also plan using the gym area too.

Thanks for the info. I would even take one night during my trip, as long as get to see them. It's all my boyfriends asked to do for the whole trip lol. I wish they would hurry up and announce it so I can plan accordingly lol.

Looks like a fun trip! I would keep trying to get a reservation at Cali Grill. It is a PERFECT place to celebrate.

I try everyday like a mad women lol. We have one on the next night as back up. I told my boyfriend we needed to have a cake that night too in case we can't get in on my birthday.

I'm pretty confident he thinks I'm crazy lol.

Fingers crossed for you! I'm the same way when it comes to getting what I want from my Disney vacation. 9 times out of 10 something always opens up.

Loving reading along and looking forward to reading updates about your trip!

I was totally wearing my ears at the house this past weekend and I'm not going back until 11/2017! :(

Thank you for following along, I absolutely loved your trip report. Your daughter is so cute.

Haha and thank you for sharing that story about your ears , at least now I don't feel so bad about wearing mine at home. We have to do something to keep the magic going.

Hello everyone. Nothing really new to report on the trip planning front but wanted to drop in and say hi.

Boyfriend is away working so there's a lot of me watching tv and crying at Disney commercials. I still can't believe it's happening.

Waiting patiently for nighttime show information for Hollywood studios and animal kingdom.
