As there is a thread for the 'youngsters' to join together, I feel it is only fair for the slightly infirm to have their gang! Do you regulary say 'back in my day' Did you have the priviledge to meet Florence Nightingale? Do you remember when 'popular' music used to be good!!!

Are you of the older generation and proud to walk the grounds of WDW with your wrinkly knees on show!!!
REJOICE!!! Go to WDW with your heads held high! (be careful not to strain your necks!) Wear those ears with pride!

Btw, I may be 35, I feel old, I tut too many times a day, I have arthtitis and siatica, plus I still open doors for people and have good manners!!!

Ahhhhhh.......now this is my kind of place.

Im 44. Remember when you bought tickets to ride the attractions. I remember when fantasy included Captain Nemo and a bunch of cool submarines. I remember when the penny arcade on Mainstreet USA was really an arcade, there was really a magic shop, and toy guns were not painted orange and green. Those were the days....

Wish I could double like this post.

I'm 38 and have a butt crack between my eyes. Oh well. Each birthday since 30 I proclaim that I make ___ (age) look damn goooooood. Yep. Hubby & I have grown up together so why not old, too. It's all about the journey. My mom told me I'd be clueless as to who I am before 30 and she was right. I'm ready to start living at 40...which will also be the age when my children start becoming legal adults.

I, too, remember standing under the "barker" parrot outside PotC itching for my folks to hurry up and gather the right number of the right tickets so we could go IN! I remember each of the mountains being the newest/latest/greatest. I remember seeing the GF under construction...as well as TL... Oh! And how about when "going to Disney" meant you were going to the MK?! Love that! And the Epcot preview thing that was on Main Street. I remember thinking that was amazing. Nickel or dime candies in the shops in the parks...the double-decker buses around World Showcase...upstairs Imageworks...hour+ long waits to get into The Living Seas ~and~ Imagination.... craziness when you look at these places now.

I love my old-n-wrinklies!

I never got to go to these. Only wished I could. Still wish I had. :(

I hated Discovery Island. My parents dragged us kicking and screaming. It was a way to stay out of MK for a bit (and not have to buy more tickets!). River Country was by far the coolest place to me as a kid. Until I saw Typhoon Lagoon. I know WHY it had to go and am not necessarily bothered by it, but, when I was little it totally rocked!

Discovery Island was like a mystery. I just wanted to see it. River Country looked like absolute bliss. My kids would argue that. They think it looked cool but these are 2 boys that wouldn't dream of swimming in a random creek whereas that was a regular thing for us. ((In Central Florida, no less, with all the "wildlife".)) To kids who thought rope swings over the river were da bomb, yeah, River Country woulda impressed the britches off of us. LOL!

I hear ya. To me as a kid, it was spending the day looking at birds mostly in cages vs. riding Space Mountain. No contest!
